So in a few hours it is time to start the Easter Egg Read-a-thon!

This is the thread for DAY ONE!

Feel free to chat here and tell everyone what you are reading. If you aren't taking part then cheer us on! :bananacheer:

If you want to be eligible for the daily and end of Read-a-thon prizes then you have to fill in your progress on the following spreadsheet (I have never made one of these online before and it seemed really easy...so I hope it works).

Day One Spreadsheet!

I only want the basic info so I can see who has won!

Anything else??? Nah...just read ;)

So do we fill in the spreadsheet at the end of each day?
I started reading The Phantom Tollbooth this morning. My book club is doing 'Favourite Childhood Books' next week. I discovered this book when I was a little past the right age, but still have fond memories of it, so I'm reading it so I can figure out when my son will be the right age for it.
I'm doing lots of baking today though, so not a lot of reading will be done.

I forget that Amber is in a different time zone. lol Well this will give me a bit of a start. We are leaving tomorrow around noon, so won't get a lot of reading done, but hope to get some in on Saturday while at the beach. Will do my best to post my progress. For now I will be finishing up the book I have been reading on my Kindle. I have also picked 3 Paperbacks to take with me and of course have tons more on my Kindle if I need them.

I'm going to start with this one when I get up in the morning! Archeaology and Scotland, what's not to love?

I'm starting my reading with Chloe, Queen of Denial by Naomi Nash. I can't remember, do audio books count? If yes, I'll be listening to Infamous by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

I will try and fill it in every time I finish a book. You can all decide when you want to fill it in but if you want to win the amount of pages read prize you will have to fill it in before I make the prize drawing.

I know I am in a different time zone so I will do the drawings on the evening of the following day.

Happy Birthday to Wendy! Have a great reading day!

Well I have finished my first book today. Only a graphic novel but I knew it wouldn't take long and that I would at least get one book read today.

And now I am going to start a normal paperback! The Kindle is staying at home.

It looks like I won't get to read much today anyway. My friends (who leave to go live in Canada next week) wanted to spend time with me today. I thought only in the afternoon but they have a whole day planned. Looking forward to it but would have loved to do some more reading!

Will check in later at some point!

I've started Fudge Cupcake Murder by Joanne Fluke this morning - about 90 pages in so far. Off to visit my sister later so won't get much reading time then, but shouldn't be too late back so hopefully will be able to squeeze some more pages in later!

I'm starting with The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs, it's a good fun read and I'm about half way through already. I'm going out to lunch with my husband soon, we rarely get a day together so we're making the most of it.

I'm listening to "Everything is Illuminated" by Jonathan Safran Foer at home (although I am not much impressed with the beginning, I may not be listening long!), "Discovery of Witches" by Deborah Harkness in the car. I'm reading "Supernatural Devices" by Kailin Gow. This one is on BlueReader. I intended to read iBooks books this weekend, but I downloaded this one yesterday and was told I could only have it till April 10th, so I have to read it quick!!

I'm awake and ready to get started. I'm starting out with Private (Jack Morgan #1) because his books go pretty fast. I'm up earlier than usual and need to get my coffee and get ready to go.

Good morning all. Thanks for the birthday wishes Sunny and Amber. I won't get much reading done today at all. We are leaving around noon for St. Augustine, plan to spend an hour or so on the beach (when I may get to read) and then out to a nice seafood dinner. My two oldest dds are both bringing their laptops with them (of course) so I will steal some time on one of them to post what I read this weekend. We won't be home till Sunday night, but I imagine that I will be able to get some reading in tomorrow while on the beach. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

I will be finishing up Keep Mama Dead by S. James Nelson on my Kindle. I am at about 70% now. I also will start on a paperback book - A Wolf at the Door and Other Retold Fairy Tales and anthology edited by Ellen Datlow and Terri Windling.

I'm going to finish the book that I have been reading for a couple of weeks. I'm so *close* to the end that I just cannot wait until the weekend is over to finish it.

Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese
