Does anyone here own a pair? What do you think about them? I'm thinking of getting a pair since I'm on my feet ll day.

I have a pair and really like them. I think they really feel good and are nice for walking. They're pretty big though, so not great for travel unless you wear instead of pack them. Also, they're almost painfully ugly.

My MIL has a pair and hates them. She feels like they make her unstable on stairs and she doesn't like them for standing even though she thinks they're okay for walking.

My mother has a pair and likes them, but she doesn't really walk on stairs anyway.

Any comparison to Sketcher Shapeups or Earth shoes? I have both of those and really like them - the sketchers especially. I've also toned my behind which is my biggest (literally) problem area! ;)

I have the Sketchers Shape-Ups. They are similar to MBT's in thickness and ugliness, but, structurally, much different. They are quite expensive and I just wondered if they were worth the price. They are unstable for a reason, they are supposed to get you to stand properly and engage in proper posture. I wear my Sketchers to work and while I like the fact that I can shift my weight from heel to toe in them, my feet still hurt after work. I do like that they make me taller, and my scrub pants fit better as a result of the extra height. The MBT's allow you to shift your weight in all direction and are supposed to be like walking on sand with minimal impact on the joints. I tried some on in a store because a lot of feedback on their website indicates that they run quite small. I found them to be true to size and they are comfortable, I'm just not quite ready to spend so much.
