I've more or less totally switched from Firefox to Chrome (apart from uploading pix to BC or Facebook, which doesn't seem to work at all in Chrome) (if you think this switch is a mistake on my part - feel free to jump in here and gently tell me why), and haven't worked out how to block ads yet.

Most of the time they don't bother me at all. But now I keep getting one of those super-annoying ones where if you accidentally stray across it with your mouse it starts making noise. :grr:

I don't know what's wrong with these advertizers. Do they really not know that not only does this NOT make me want to buy their product, but that it makes me want to boycott all their products and possibly even physically destroy their headquarters?!?

There are some ad blocking options available for Chrome, though they're not as straightforward as the Firefox ones. In one case, I know you had to be running the dev build to do it, but I think that the regular beta builds now support certain add-ons. I can't give you specifics right now other than to tell you to just google "chrome ad blocker" and you should come up with all kinds of pages with the info I'm referring to. As I said though, it seems to change by the minute, so the previous add-on I'd had my Mike install (forget the name) may have already been trumped by a better and easier to install ad blocker.

Anyway, I hope this is the kind of answer you were seeking.

In addition, as soon as the ZetaBoard developers implement a yearly payment option, I plan to upgrade us to ZetaBoard Premium. We'll then have no more ads, or else just the small ones at the bottom, along with the email notification functionality too. I can't promise a timeframe on that, but know that I did bug the devs about it about a month ago, letting them know I'm waiting for that payment option so that I can get us on the Premium plan. :)

Thanks for the reply, CP. I found a board with a link to an ad-blocker, as well as the comment that if I want add-ons I should be sticking to Firefox. They said something like "Chrome is what we install for our parents".

How to make me feel old! ;)
