audible.com trial; advice / thoughts?

I clicked through an ad link (from yahoo mail, I think - only now does it occur to me that perhaps I should have saved the link to share here)...

...and now have a 14-day trial membership to audible.com, and one credit to spend for free. Yes, I do intend to cancel again before the 14 days are up! I'm planning to spend my one credit before then, and I HOPE I'll then be able to keep that book after I quit, in i-tunes.

Any advice about what I should get? Water for Elephants? The History of English Literature?

I love that you can click to hear samples - and wow, they're relatively long samples!

I can't decide whether I ought to go for something that has a normal price which is relatively expensive, or something that is long (many hours), or something I'll think is worth listening to more than once, or...

I have a subscription at Audible for my Dad and he chooses a wide selection. Long is great as it keeps him busy :giggle:
