Make small talk? I'd rather be reading. Posts: 2,006 Group: Global Moderators Member #88 Joined: April 24, 2006	Since we seem to have a small but steady influx of new people, I thought it might be nice to have a thread where they can stop in and introduce themselves. And then we can all whip them in greeting :lol: Likewise, if someone knows they're going to be taking a break from here, it might be nice to have a place where they can let us know that they're fine, just stepping away from the internet for a bit. So welcome Rebeccaljames, Catsalive, Bartonz, Buffy and anyone else new around there that I've missed!!

Next week (2/19 - 2/23) I will be off work... they call it furlow (sp?) days... which is fancy ass language for saying the plant will shut down for a week... which means, I'll be on unemployment for a week, which means I won't have to show my bootie here for a week, and the state will pay for it (since I don't get vacation or holiday pay) I'm kinda a broke a$$ right now.. but if my tax return comes back soon (which it freakin' should) then I might take a day or two and go do stuff... like to to Oklahoma with mom to the Red River Museum (day trip) or go into Sherman.. stuff like that. Anyway, I wanted to give y'all a heads up that I'll be online less that week.

I'd be mad if I went through all of this and still had to go to grad school after.

I'm getting married this year and I don't know where my man is going to put his clothing as all spaces are occupied by books.
