I'm now reading The Bug Funeral by Sarah Shaber. I'm enjoying it as a different type of mystery, and hope that it won't be much longer before I discover what the name of the book means.
So finally, on page 130, I find out what "bug funeral" means and why it's relevant to the story. This was an OK mystery and I would be pleased to find another book from the same author, but it's not one of those books that you rave about and go all ga-ga over. It's heading to MissBagPuss on Friday.

The next book up on my owed TBR stack is Autumn Bridge by Takashi Matsuoka. TheRubyCanary won it from me in the Halloween/Fall Swap. When I was starting to read it, I took a look at the inside flap (yes, it's a hardcover, and I'm not sure where it came from) and saw this, "Matsuoka continues the chronicle of Japanese nobleman Lord Genji he began in Cloud of Sparrows (2002)." OOPS! So, I hurried over to Amazon.com and bought Cloud of Sparrows in the Kindle edition and I'm reading it right now.

While I was driving from St. Louis to Jefferson City last week, I listened to 5 more CDs in The Religion by Tim Willocks, and that left me with just the 21st disk to finish it -- and I did on Saturday while I drove to and from my art date with the local Mixed Media group.
And my next audio book is The Lost Art of Gratitude by Alexander McCall Smith. I'm well into the first CD (of 5 or 6) and will take it with me on today's trip to NYC since I need to drive from LaGuardia airport to Tarrytown (and back again on Thursday). I should be able to listen to a few tracks, depending on the traffic.

I just finished Hot, Flat and Crowded. It is a thick book and took me a while to finish, but I think it's the type of book that everyone should read. A lot of interesting idea about "green" that I never thought of.

Also reading a bok that will be a surprise RABCK so I can't say the title, but it's another great book...

Now I am reading Grave Secret (Harper Connelly Mystery, #4) by Charlaine Harris. Guess you can tell that I am catching up with all my favorite series!
Totally enjoyed Grave Secret. Liked the way that all of the loose ends of Harper's life were wrapped up, but also liked that Harris left it so that another book could follow (although it is my understanding that this is the last one in this series)

I have also read Dying to Be Thin (A Fat City Mystery, #1) by Kathryn Lilley. This was a fantastic start to a fun cozy series. I had several laugh out loud moments. I have been lucky enough to recently pick up #2 & #3 in this series as well, which I will be reading very soon.

I am currently reading Pretty In Ink (Tattoo Shop Mystery #2) by Karen E. Olson. I loved the first book in this series and pre-ordered this one. Enjoying it so far!

I'm reading Demonfire by Kate Douglas on my Kindle. So far it's alright, nothing special about it. I was hoping for more since I've heard great things about her other series.

You must read them, now!! :giggle:

I finished Venus Envy and enjoyed it right up until the end, then it just got a little too weird for me. If the whole book had been fantasy, no problem, but it seemed out of place to me.

Started The Enemy Jack Reacher # 8

As we start working on stuff for Adam's play (yes, it's a year away, but there is a lot to be done!), I am reading a lot of material that relates to the Holocaust, particularly hiding stories. Soooo... since finishing up with Wild Animus a few weeks ago, or whatever it was, I have read Memories of Anne Frank, Jacob's Rescue, The Anne Frank Story, and The Upstairs Room. I have now just started Anna is Still Here.

I've started reading Flashforward by Robert J. Sawyer.
I really like this. Although, the book and TV series are almost nothing alike. :-/

I've also read quite a few books since I finished this one.

The Book of Living and Dying by Natale Ghent
The Salaryman's Wife by Sujata Massey
Zen Attitude by Sujata Massey
The Flower Master by Sujata Massey
The Floating Girl by Sujata Massey
The Bride's Kimono by Sujata Massey

Now I'm reading The Samurai's Daughter by Sujata Massey. I'm really enjoying the Rei Shimura mystery series set in Japan.
