I started Kay Hooper's Once A Thief today on my lunch hour.

I finished off Beneath A Blood Red Moon by Shannon Drake this weekend. Some one loaned me this and When Darkness Falls so I thought I'd give her a try again. I had read Realm of Shadows a few years ago, but I can't recall anything memorable about it. I was not overly enthused with BBRM either. The prologue alone was almost enough to make me want to ditch the book. Very melodramatic to the point of being cheesy (no offense toward our fav cheesygiraffe here :P ). As I read on, the action moved along to keep my attention but was very predictable. I was disappointed in the ending. No real explanation behind the sudden "miracle cure." I think one Amazon reviewer summed her up nicely..."When the writing skills of Danielle Steel meet a pale imitation of Anne Rice universe." I doubt I will bother with WDF. Too many other books in Mt. TBR.

I've just finished The Water's Lovely by Ruth Rendell and I'm halfway through Three to get Deadly by Janet Evanovich.

With the Stephanie Plum ones, is it me or do they get better? Cos this one seems much funnier..... I know I'm late to the game with these but I read the first one years ago and didn't think much of it, so I left them. And I've seen so many of you guys say how good they are..... so I started again with them.

I've not read the Plum books yet, but I'm sure a few people have said the first one is the least good.

I'm reading about 5 different books at the moment as Ijust don't seem to be able to settle on one, and I keep falling asleep all the time!!

Yeah, I wasn't all that impressed with One or Two either. I would have stopped there, but the third was already in the mail to me for a bookring, so I read it and thought it was a big improvement!

Since then I've switched over to listening to them as audios, and I have to say it's like they were made to be read aloud! I think Four and Eight have been my favorites overall (I've read through Nine at this point), but they're always fun to listen to!

Three was one of my favorites. I love that series myself.

I'm reading Snow Flower and the Secret Fan... it's okay so far, not something I'd usually read (it's for a book club), but it's good :)

I finished Dancing In My Nuddy Pants for Geegal's M-bag :)

I am now reading the third and final book of Nora Robert's Three Sister Island Trilogy FACE THE FIRE. I think this one might end up being the best of the three but to soon to really know yet.

I didn't care for those too much. I listened to them, which made it ok, but I don't think I could try reading them.

I liked it, but really was only able to follow it because I had seen the film first.

I am reading White Bikini Panties. I am about 80 pages in and it feels very "this is how to write a chicklit book" to me. I am hoping it picks up abit.
