Title: So, We're Here in Gatlinburg
Description: Anyone wanna guess how many books Sand

ctgmom - March 23, 2007 10:47 PM (GMT)
There is no prize (well except for some braggin rights) for this but just for fun, anyone wanna guess how many books Sand has bought so far!

I will give you a hint, the number is more than the number of clogging routines we have learned so far and less than the number of people that live in California! (and we've only been to 1 (one) book store (so far).

Let the guessing begin!!!!

SandDanz - March 23, 2007 10:54 PM (GMT)
Methinks that someone has forgotten they're not the only ones with 'net access while away to Tennessee. *shakes head* :bash:

noumena12 - March 23, 2007 10:56 PM (GMT)
Let's see...you are there to dance...but Sand probably brought 20 books with her. Plus she probably has another 50 books buried in her car somewhere that haven't been journaled yet.

I didn't bring 20 with me... less than 10 actually (excluding the purchases from the HPB CTGMOM made us stop at on the way down)... and my car is actually pretty much cleaned out at the moment, but it's back at home still... I didn't drive down here.

Oh... and we're getting ready to head to another book store as soon as I can drag Laura's butt off her laptop! :giggle:

ctgmom - March 23, 2007 10:59 PM (GMT)
You shoulda seen how hard we had twist her arm to make her wanna stop.

SciFisstrs - March 23, 2007 10:59 PM (GMT)

Well earlier this evening we ventured out through the mean streets of Gatlinburg (aka Gotburg) and went to a second bookstore. Yep! Sand got more books!!!!!!

meshe - March 24, 2007 12:44 PM (GMT)
Sand needed more books

caseyw - March 24, 2007 01:10 PM (GMT)
Figures you two come down to TN and you're clear across on the other side of the state. <_<

Gatlinburg is nice. I visited there many years ago.

I see the beginnings of a new game developing here when Sand goes out of town. How many books does she take? Better yet, how many new ones does she buy?

Ya'll have fun!

OK, what kind of bookstore was this? Regular, used, discount, discount warehouse..... I need more info before I can guess!

camis - March 24, 2007 04:00 PM (GMT)
How big is the car?? (Just so I have an idea of how much space she has to fill  )

I went to Gatlinburg on my honeymoon many years ago...

we've been to 1 Half-Price books store (with clearance section) and 2 book warehouses that were basically the same with discounted books.

momx3lovesbooks - March 25, 2007 04:37 AM (GMT)
Clearance section AND discounted books?! Sounds like heaven to me!!! My guess is 37. I know..a werid number, but I just let my fingers type without thinking and that's what I typed.

Are we counting only books she doesn't own yet, or books she bought that she forgot she already had at home? :D

AceofHearts - March 25, 2007 01:04 PM (GMT)
Are there any HP book stores in Charleston?

ETA: Forget the question I had better not buy anymore :D

ctgmom - March 26, 2007 12:35 AM (GMT)
Well we are home safe and sound and let's just say after 4 bookstores (that's right 4, I twisted her arm to stop at one more on the way home-- ) my car (mpv van) is very happy to be home and unloaded. It was making a very weird noise most of the way home, but miraculously (sp?) stopped after unloading all of Sand's stuff.

btw Turtle,

There was a store in the Artist Community where I went shopping with my mom one afternoon during a break and there was a store that you would have loved. Everything in the store had turtles on it. That was all they sold!

Thanks for sharing, that made me happy. :D
