Title: Spring Fever

caseyw - March 23, 2007 04:16 PM (GMT)
I've got the worse case of spring fever today. It's all I can do to stay here at work. It's so pretty outside. Lower 80s today. I've got my desk cleared of work...for now. That is until someone brings me more paperwork and I know they will. It is just killing me to sit here though. I wanna be outside. :bounce:

I know... me too! It's cloudy here, but I'm so ready to get the hell out of here for the weekend!!!!!

Same here Casey. And guess what? I can go outside. Haha! :P hehe

It truly is gorgeous here in our neck of the woods, isn't it?

*sigh* :sigh:

I was driving around today with the window down and the sunroof open.

It was nice :)

But it's 9C here.. not anywhere close to 80F (which is good - because 80F is about my upper maximum of heat lol)

You're being a mean tease! <_<

:giggle:

Dancing-dog - yes it is. I've got 8 bags of top soil in the back of my suv ready to go in the flower beds. Poor Brian doesn't have a clue for what he's in for tomorrow yard work wise. :P

Well at least you can recruit him .... Mike always claims he's too tired! (ok, he does work nights but really!)

I am not a yard work person at all!

I tend to kill plants :bash:

Me too. Definitely a black thumb here. I love looking at the pretty plants, flowers, trees though. Plus the birds, squirrels and other animals coming back out for Spring.

caseyw - March 23, 2007 07:03 PM (GMT)
Well I wouldn't have redone the flower beds at the end of driveway, but Brian started this by tearing out the old ones last weekend. They did need to be redone, but I have other stuff with higher priority.

As far as our yard work goes...consists mostly of picking up fallen limbs and mulching up leaves this time of year. By the time I get them all from just around the house, I don't give a hoot what the yard looks like anymore. :D Please keep in mind that I live on 4 acres of what should be classified as a mini national forest.

My dad's mom wasn't much of a gardner either... her husband was, but she wanted pretty flowers in her yard, so she put silk flowers in the ground.

40 minutes and counting and they just let go the new accountant so that's going to mean more work for me next week.

SciFisstrs - March 23, 2007 11:03 PM (GMT)
It's raining here. Not a very warm day. But bored just as well

Looking good this week...I am so ready for Spring. Highs in the 50's are promised. It is 43 out already today...feels so nice to go out and get the mail and just slip a pair of sandals on!

caseyw - March 24, 2007 06:30 PM (GMT)
Got me a good dose of outdoors today. My dogwoods are in full bloom now and look so pretty. Got my flower beds done. The irises are now transplanted into them. :bananadance: Now if they will just bloom this year.

Brian mulched leaves in the front yard while I raked them away from one side of the house. Always have to make sure the central heat and air unit is cleared of leaves. I still to get them cleaned up from the front of the house but I ran out of steam after cleaning out a dog kennel I picked up for the rescue group.

Kyrissaean - March 25, 2007 01:10 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I'm getting spring fever too. It's been above freezing for two whole days now. :P

I went out jogging just before supper time and ran passed four different houses with people out on their decks firing up their outdoor grills! Now that's cabin fever for you!

We'll be seeing flowers in another 5-6 weeks or so.

meshe - March 25, 2007 10:07 PM (GMT)
Spring fever has given way to Summer. It's 90 right now at 6pm in the evening. But tomorrow's high is only supposed to be 85 :duh:

redhot-brat - March 25, 2007 10:37 PM (GMT)
Your making me jealous Meshe.
It almost made 70* here today. Our highest temp of 2007. It's been soooo beautiful.
My dogs and my cat have barely come in all day and same for my kids. It sure picked a great weekend to get nice . My kids just went on Springbreak from school Thursday.
