That is from me! I ordered it through BookMooch and they were kind enough to ship it directly to you. I will mark it as received now. Glad that it arrived so quickly!

chronicbooker3 - March 19, 2007 05:25 PM (GMT)
Great :bananadance: Im so glad it arrived :waves: I was really afraid that it would be late seeing that I had to send it surface. Hope you enjoy

giz-angel - March 19, 2007 09:43 PM (GMT)
And mine hasn't got there yet? I sent it ages ago *pouts*

krin511 - March 20, 2007 03:07 PM (GMT)

lmn60 - March 26, 2007 08:42 AM (GMT)
Two more parcels have arrived..... a lovely surprise when I got home from a union meeting that went for over two hours (come the revolution.....!).

One from krin511 and Melinda010100 's parcel has arrived from Jacaranda.

Thanks!!!!

giz-angel - March 26, 2007 05:11 PM (GMT)
Mine better arrive soon......

lmn60 - April 2, 2007 04:00 AM (GMT)
OK gang... sorry about the opening delay - had an interesting few days... but enough about me!

To the books!!! (I'm afraid I'm too much of a luddite to know how to do the fancy putting the pictures up thingy on here -so you'll just have to make do with words!)

First from zzz (evil tempting thing that he is!)

Dictionary of the Khazars: A lexicon novel by Milorad Pavic

This one looks really interesting, Milan. I agree challenging from the blurb - but also intriguing! I LOVE your journal entry for this one, too! Thanks so much!

Next from wss4...

A Song for Lya by George R.R. Martin This one has been on my wishlist for ages! I really like the 'Ice and Fire' series by him (intelligent sci fi) and have been wanting to read more of his works! Ta muchly, Wendy!

Now for Melinda010100's contribution...

Silk by Alessandro Barico. Another wishlist book! I feel so blessed! Thanks, Melinda!

And a very big parcel from chronicbooker.... TWO wishlist books!

A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry AND Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon by Craig Fass

You're too generous Shelley - not that I'm complaining, mind you!

And finally for today....

From krin511... ANOTHER wishlist book!

The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer Another book I had heard of.... but never seriously thought to acquire! Thanks, Karen!

So... that's all the news on my Inklings books for now! More as the others arrive!

I do want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart, though. I've actually been having a rough couple of weeks (too complex to go into now!); and you've all helped place a smile back on my dial!

lmn60 - April 12, 2007 01:52 PM (GMT)
I'd love to be opening some more books.... but none have arrived yet!

I suspect the long Easter break has meant that Australia Post is even more inefficient than usual...

I'll jump on here and let you all know as soon as any other parcels arrive in my letter box... promise!

giz-angel - April 12, 2007 04:27 PM (GMT)

Stress-eth not-eth, giz!

It's only mid-April after all... and it's not as if I don't have the towering heights of Mt TBR to amuse me!

:giggle:

Tribefan - April 13, 2007 12:41 PM (GMT)
