Title: Update on me...

SandDanz - March 13, 2007 01:59 PM (GMT)
Sorry I haven't been around much lately and I know I should be since I took on the "admin" job. I have been popping in reading occasionally and also coming in to authorize new members and delete spammer registrations :bash: Other than that, I really haven't been here. I know I owe several people additions to the blog thread and I'm sorry I haven't gotten that updated.

I've been taking a break with a lot of stuff lately and trying to sort out stuff going on in my life. Special thanks go to Cheesy & CTGMOM for listening to me whine/cry/etc... on IM all day long in order to keep me sane. I know there have been several others message me to check on me and I really appreciate that as well. I'm sorry I haven't gotten a chance to message those of you (in particular I remember Karendawn and Rosie I need to get back with) to talk more, but I typically haven't felt like writing up long emails and such. I did feel guilty about not being around much so I wanted to let you all know that I am still around and if I get PMed or emailed I try to at least send some sort of response back, but it may just be a very brief response.

Also, regarding my internet status. I still don't have internet at home. If you see me on in the evenings it either means I'm at LBs or I'm out somewhere that has wireless. I was going to get it hooked up at my apartment last weekend but ended up having to cancel the appointment, but I'll get it back eventually. Until then, I apologize for not getting books journaled and registered, but I can't really carry boxes of books in with me at Panera. :giggle:

Anyway, I'll try to get back to being a "regular" as soon as I can. I just didn't want anyone thinking that I was mad or whatever as that's not the case... I'm just going through a lot right now.

On a lighter note, CTGMOM and I are off to Gatlinburg, TN next Thursday (the 22nd) through that Sunday for our annual clogging workshop. We'll have wireless there I believe, but I don't know how often we'll have time to get online since we'll be busy throughout the day and night.

Well, if you've made it this far into the post, thanks for reading... I promise this is only a temporary stint (or at least I sure hope) and things will eventually get back to normal.

:grouphug:

Good to hear from you Rhonda - hope youa re back more permanently soon.

Ri - March 13, 2007 07:16 PM (GMT)
Glad you are doing ok, Rhonda! I was thinking about you yesterday when I was looking at Megabus' website. You can go from Columbus to Indianapolis for $1 - way cheaper than gas in the car! I was thinking that maybe we need to do another localish Ohio/Indy meetup. Rebeccajames is in Cincy, so maybe we can rope her in too. Plus, I've never met Pepper or cowgirl-up, or ctgmom...

Anyhow, take care. We know you still love us and of course we still love you! Here's a little something to prove it!

Thanks Liz, I'm here off and on but not as much as I was because I have a major project or 2 going on - one is fundraising for the Poker Walk we are doing for the local Pound in June and one is looking for property.

morris?

English folk dance

I still haven't gotten the hang of putting pictures up here - but I can link to two pictures I found on-line: "Women dancing with garlands" and "Morris dancers are never worried about looking silly".

Anyway, sorry to get so far off-topic. Enjoy the workshop!

It's simple. Simply take the 2 HTTP URLs you linked to below, and instead enclose them in IMG tags like so:
CODE

"Women dancing with garlands"
[IMG]http://www.englishmiscellany.com/gallery/Scarecrow-2005/images/gfx_13.jpg[/IMG]

"Morris dancers are never worried about looking silly"
[IMG]http://www.themorrisring.org/images/Sworth.jpg[/IMG]

which gives you the following result:
"Women dancing with garlands"
user posted image

"Morris dancers are never worried about looking silly"
user posted image

Cool, huh? B) (You can also use the IMG button which will prompt you for the http URL and enclose them between the tags automagically.)

BTW, I didn't know what a Morris dancer was either. It looks fun! And particularly relevant to our May Day Exchange too, what with the garlands and all!! :bananadance: We'll just dress you in more spring-time colors and you can be the official mascot!!

Woo-hoo!

Hey, MayDay partner, what do you think if I add a pair of clogs and a hat with flowers on it to your package?

Seriously, Cherie, thanks for showing me how to do the photos. I had assumed I needed to sort out some sort of Photo-bucket account. I guess that's only for pictures that aren't already on-line.

But you could come and take a tour of Ohio. We have TONS of Half Price books. 5 in C-bus, 4 in Cinci, 1 in Dayton, and 4 in Cleveland.

And there's lots of us in Ohio too!
