Kinda reminds me of the part on the Jungle Book movie when the vultures ask each other...
"what you wanna do?"
"I dunno, what do you wanna do?"
"I dunno, what do you wanna do?"
"Now lets not start that again." :giggle:

A couple quick questions on this .....
1. The books have to be new?
2. Can we send more then one?
3. If we send more then one , can they maybe not all be new , as long as atleast one is?
Just curious? Let me know - Thanks! :*

1. No
2. Sure
3. They don't have to be new books - When I send someone a book, it has to be in a condition that I wouldn't mind receiving myself.
Just my opinion.
p.s. Where is annadale?
redhot-brat - March 6, 2007 08:00 PM (GMT)
Thanks Three!
That's about what I figured , but wasn't sure as this is my first exchange. I've had alot of "first" on here this past month.
Annandale is about 40 mins SE of St. Cloud .... If that helps. If not we are about an hour and 15 mins NW of Minneapolis. It's a tiny little town (pop. 3,000 roughly) situated nicely away from the busy metros. In Minnesota of course.

Yeah, I know where St Cloud is - I used to go to Belgrade all the time. I'm from Moose Lake and I'll be pleasantly surprised if you know where that is. :D
redhot-brat - March 7, 2007 04:58 AM (GMT)
Ok I know where Belgrade is. My in-laws have a Elk Farm in Spicer and take the Elk to Belgrade to be processed.
I had to think about Moose Lake a few minutes. I know it sounded famaliar , but couldn't place it. So I mapquested it. It sounded famaliar , because we passed through it enroute to Duluth a couple weeks ago. My husband is currently on a job in Duluth till mid April. he passes through there a couple times a week. :)
redhot-brat - March 7, 2007 05:00 AM (GMT)

it can be found on RABCK.com .... I keep it up to date.

Welcome Back ZZZ ! :waves: That depends ... What happened last time? I wasn't here yet and the suspense is killing me.
lmn60 - March 13, 2007 12:09 PM (GMT)
I've been checking other members' wishlists and am struggling to find anything that fulfills a few of their 'wants'.
Would it be OK for participants to list their favourite genres so I can try to find something that might be in the 'balllpark' for them?
I'll start... I like 'quality' fiction, not too scary or yukky mysteries and thrillers, humour and biographies/memoirs.
Also... could we get the list of people's addresses a few months in advance? I'd like to send some parcels off surface - and will need time to make sure the book arrives in time.
Demanding, ain't I? (You should hear what my managers are saying about me at the moment ! :shedevil: )
cheesygiraffe - March 13, 2007 12:59 PM (GMT)
I have everyone's address now Lynn. I can go ahead and send that list to you. I can't promise people won't move before their month is here though. I also have some people's favorite genres in another list that I could send you. :D

That sounds good to me. To give you some kind of idea how I build my wishlist... I look at other peoples shelves that I trade with or whathave you and what looks good to me (like cover or name) I'll add it to my list.
I've just started getting into mysteries, so I don't know too many. I like the Monk books, and the coffee house series, and Charlene Harris's books so far.
I'm also into the paranormal stuff too. Not so much scifi/horror stuff, but like romance or bufffy the vamp. slayer type stuff. Only problem is.. I don't know too much about the genre / or the authors, so I kinda find them by accident and go from there. I'm always willing to try someone new too.
My main standard is chick-lit. I just love it. :P
lmn60 - March 13, 2007 01:11 PM (GMT)
Thanks cheesy - just got the list! Speedy aren't you! :D
I understand that people might move - but hopefully if I send off surface books two months before, then they'll hopefully still have a redirect on their mail.
And thanks for your genre list, zoloft. I'll see what I can find for you!!
OK... so tired I can barely type - work is a horror show at the moment  - so I'll shuffle off to bed!
Thanks again!
Lynn :waves:
morsecode - March 13, 2007 01:22 PM (GMT)
This is what I have in the favorites thread about my genres ;)
I love novels. I read mostly fiction --
literary fiction, historical fiction, fantasy (but not really SciFi) -- but I do have ecclectic reading tastes and would love to have anyone send me a copy of _their_ favourite book or a book that they thought I'd like or that made them think of me :)
(also--if anyone needs to get a better idea of what I read--on my BC bookshelf page I keep track of all the books I read last year and so far this year)
geishabird - March 13, 2007 02:17 PM (GMT)
I have a pretty long and diversified wishlist, but if someone still has trouble finding something on it...I would prefer literary fiction, or perhaps something nonfiction - I like NF that deals with science and history (or both!). Hope that is helpful.
Oh, and I definitely have no plans to move in the next year (or two)!

I keep all of mine listed at RABCK.com .... I think pretty much everybody else had theirs listed there too. (except you :D ).
(My info from there)
redhot-brat prefers to receive books of the following genre(s):
Arts & Photography , Childrens Books , Cooking , Entertainment , Gay & Lesbian , Graphic Novels , Home & Garden , Horror , Humor , Journals , Literature & Fiction , Mystery & Thrillers , Outdoors & Nature , Pets & Animals , Poetry , Romance , Teens , Women's Fiction , Other
I do like the idea of getting the addresses early , as I usually send mine the cheapest route also and that takes extra time. Good idea LMN60

Bummer - I've never had a single probelm with it. Shame it doesn't cooperate with you Lynn. I'm sure everyone here will be happy with whatever you pick.
Question for THREE ...... ARe you registered at bookcrossing? I tried to look you up there the other day and it couldn't find you. It did the same thing at the wishlist site? Thought I'd check if it was just glitching or if it couldn't find you , cause you aren't there.
