Well, it looks like nobody had any Potoks to release for
my little challenge. Maybe I should have posted about it earlier (my announcement on BC was just under a week in advance - not enough time I guess).
So instead I'm going to offer
Davita's Harp as a book ring. Ideally it'll come back to me in plenty of time for me to release it as a well-travelled book on Potok Day
next year!
Details: mass-market paperback, 438 pages. Please try to get it moving within 3 weeks from when you get it, and be willing to ship anywhere (but by cheapest method). That said, I'll try to accommodate shipping preferences.
Davita's Harp deals with the quest for female identity. A reviewer in the Detroit News hailed Davita's Harp as "a warm, decent, generous and patient exploration of important issues facing Jewish women today." It is also a very human account of growing up female in any culture in which women's roles are severely limited (from enotes).
