Title: Melanie Travis Dog Mysteries by Laurien Berenson
Description: Has anyone read these?

I love books that have dogs as a character, or are "dog-themed". I was thinking of trying these, but don't know if they're any good. Can anyone tell me about them? Also, does anyone know which one is the first in the series?

They look cute I don't read books with pets as characters much though. According to
Fantastic Fiction A Pedigree to Die For is the first in the series.

I've read one of hers, Hush Puppy, #4 of the series, and enjoyed it. I think Tribefan has it now. I still have Watchdog in my tbr pile which is number five of the series. I can move it up in my stack if you'd like to have it.

This author sounds familiar but I don't think I've read any.
Definitely sounds like I would like them though!

I have read her books and I like them, but it's been a while. I think she's the one with the standard poodles.

That's okay, I decided to skip the series for now. I found a book that starts a new series, it's called Faux Finished, so I'll go with that series since it's just starting. :)
I also recently read Cooking Is Murder which is the first in the Cooking Class mysteries. #2 is out soon.

I had "Creature Discomforts" by Susan Conant along time ago...Don't know if it's any good or not..
