I asked a question in the swap forum about having swaps that were not book related and the thought was to have a book swap forum and a "other" swap forum.
Any interest in this?
Do you really think a separate forum is necessary? Why wouldn't you want to just put it in the Swaps forum? The exchanges, boxes, and giveaways that aren't specifically books, i.e. bookmarks, music giveaways, don't have their own forums.
I was just voicing what others said in the thread I started about other types of swaps being ok on this board.
Maybe it would not be smart to do it until we see if there is any interest in these.
I just did not want to anger people if I started one of these in the Swap thread.
Thanks!
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound bitchy if I came across that way in my last post. It's just the way it comes out sometimes when I'm writing quickly. (As I had a few IMs coming in at the same time.)
But yeah, a few people had complained before, including myself, that we had too many sub-forums already, and since other non-book exchanges and such are taking place in the other forums, I figured, no need for a separate forum for this.
I'm even thinking of the funky sock exchange one that someone brought up in the exchange forum, and there was no squawking about that, so I believe you're perfectly fine in starting anything swap-related in the Swaps forum. We purposely decided against putting the word Book in there for that very reason.
So go for it... and if you don't get any interest then you know it's not something a lot of the others are into. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? :D
