Just thought I'd start us a new thread for our grand opening day!

Unfortunately my package hasn't arrived - and today was the last day mail will be delivered here in Australia until next Wednesday (due to public holidays and all). But that's cool, I'll get a kick out of reading all of your posts when you open your great packages! My time will come soon, so I'm not fussed :)

Anyhow - not long to go now!! Whoohooo!!

Hey I think I forgot to write Secret Santa on the parcel. are we talking about a rather bulky, wrapped in white paper parcel?

I just talked to the SandMan on the phone and he said he signed for a large yellow parcel that says "Do Not Open Until Dec. 26th"!!! I take it that is my holiday package. WOO HOO!!! :bananadance: :bananadance: :bananadance:

I haven't received my gift yet and come to think of it I haven't heard of my secret santa either. Last chance for it to arrive tomorrow though. But if it gets here some time later I can at least rip it open at once and won't have to wait for a specific date. :D

I apologize for that Jo. I did have to wait for something that took longer than I expected. But sent out as soon as I could. I should have known better and sent the very tip top class :lol: I don't like the idea that you have to wait and apologize again :( Merry Christmas :santa:

Hey Santa - seriously don't worry about it!!! Not your fault that the shipping to Oz sucks!! At least I don't have to WAIT when it arrives :thumbsup: I can just rip right into it .. haha!! It'll be nice to have another surprise waiting for me.

If it makes you feel any better - I was having gifts shipped from the US for my husband and they haven't arrived either!!! So on Christmas Eve I have to go out into an overcrowed shopping centre and spend MORE money on some gifts so that my poor hubby has something to open. :cry:

So don't feel bad - I know it's on it's way so that's all that matters! And I'll have an extended Christmas so it's all good :thumbsup: Merry Christmas to you too :santa:

yup - i opened the first layer because there was nothing to say "dont open this".

but inside it was wrapped in a second white layer with STOP written all over it and yellow sticky post it notes saying "you are about to open your secret santa parcel, so if it is not 26th december STOP NOW"

it is now under my christmas tree teasing me. excellent timing secret santa!

Midnight on 12/26... I can finally open my package! :bananadance:

My lovely secret santa, Rosie, gave me two brand spanking new books off my wishlist... "The Dogs of Bedlam Farm" by Jon Katz and "Dogs Behaving Badly" by Nicholas Dodman. :bananadance:

She also sent along the 2005 Puppy Love ornament from the collector's series... which I just happen to collect! (I have every year but two of them hanging on my tree). :bananadance:

And, there was also chocolate in the package, to round things off. A Cadbury Dairy Milk bar (yum) and a Wunderbar (also by Cadbury, and something I haven't ever gotten to try before... I can't wait to taste it tomorrow!). :bananadance:

The two books and the ornament were wrapped up in festive paper, and there was a shiny ribbon on one of the packages that Trouble (the Cat) is "killing" at this very moment. :rolleyes: :lol:
