Title: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 trailer

Inspired by Twiggy's Harry Potter post....
after watching that trailer (thanks, Twiggy!), I clicked on the link for the Traveling Pants trailer. I finally finished reading the full 4-book series not too long ago, so they're somewhat fresh in my mind. Seems to me the trailer for this 2nd movie follows mostly the plotline of book #4. Anyone else read them all and think so too??

This definately sounds like book 4.

I was watching the first movie on TV tonight and they showed some clips from the new movie. One clip had the girls meeting before they were going to head off for the summer and they indicated that they had done "this" (meeting and going over the rules of the pants) for several summers now. So it does seem like the movie has skipped to the fourth book.

I had read the movie was going to be a compilation of the last three books. *shrug*
Here is a CNN interview with the girls:

From the way the previews are, it does look like it'll be based on book four. Which is upsetting because I didnt' like that one. Loved the first three, but the last one just... didn't do it for me. I felt more at ease with everything after the third one than I did after the fourth one. Especially Lena's whole situation. I don't know if I'll make it tothe movies to see this one, maybe watch it online.

The third was my favorite. I really liked the ending of that one & thought it was written like a wrap-up as opposed to the ending of #4.

I saw the movie yesterday. It was okay. My memory of what happened in each book is a little fuzzy so I'm not sure how much was merged. (There was a short montage at the beginning to update on where they were now.) There were a lot of things taken out, though I can see how they would have complicated the movie.
I was also in Borders and noted that the movie version of the book (with the title The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2) says on the front that it was previously published as Forever in Blue (the 4th book).
