You know you are addicted to BookCrossing when...What applies to me....#2, #3, #5, #6, #7, #8, #11, #12, #13, #19, #20, #21, #27, #30, #37, #40 doesn't apply because I always have a book to release! :giggle: , #42
I never saw this page until now! Thanks for pointing it out.
The addiction symptoms I suffer from: #06, #07, #08, #11 through #28, #32, #40 through #42, #44!
Oh wow.
Yup.
Mmmhmmm...
Oh that's me...
Thanks for posting that I've never seen that before. :)
Been suffering with #15 since 3am :P
45. ... your dog is running around with a clothes pin because you must read all the forum postings before taking him out. (Cats)
42. ... the post-office official greets with "oh, you again!" (Yes they definitely know me. The same with all the delivery guys) they even know my habits. like sleeping long. They know just to ring the bell and leave the package on the doorway in the garden. :)
39. ... you are not invited to parties anymore, because you can only talk about one single thing.
I know I talk a lot about books
37. ... you find yourself searching for books only at eBay - and suddenly you have bought so many books that you know for sure you can't read them within a year.
30. ... you run your computer 24h, 7 days, just to get direct access to BookCrossing (Books in my case. not only BC)
29. ... you create a phone-chain all over the world, just to stay informed, when the BookCrossing page is down.
(Bookobsessed page)
28. ... you buy a ticket to London on one of those cheap airlines just to hunt/release a BC-book. (No Just to buy cheap books)
25. ... you haven't got time to read good books, because you spend all day at the keyboard, reading other Bookobsessed' posts (and answering them).
24. ... planning a road trip, you note which cities and towns are on the way, and check the BookCrossing site to see if there are any books you want to hunt "in the wild" there. (No But I do check where are the booksales and charity shops)
21. ... you buy extra copies of books you really like so you can release them.
19. ... you think about releasing a book as soon as you buy it.
18. ... going over your bookshelf, you think about what books you can release. (Many a times)
15. ... you're quite happy when you wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep, because then you can hang out in the forum. (No cause then I can read and catch up)
14. ...you are assembling a list of BC screen names for a bookray and you don't have to look up their addresses; you remember what countries, states, even cities they all live in.
(Yes only with my BO friends though)
13. ... you are watching a movie in which the background consists of a huge floor to ceiling, wall to wall bookcase crammed with books; you forget all about the movie and think to yourself "Look at ALL those books that are just sitting there, going to waste, when they could be released!" I could read them
11. ... you panic when the site is down (I am annoyed but do not panic but I do when bookobsessed is down though  )
09. ... you feel non BookCrossers Readers are deprived and they NEED you to see the light.
06. ... you have more in common with BookCrossers Bookobsessed peeps you don't know than with the people you do know.
03. ... you use RABCKs, bookrays, bookboxes and other BookCrossing vocabulary with wretched non BookCrossing members and expect them to get it.
01. ... you hit the refresh link every 2 seconds. (Only on Bookobsessed)
Conclusion: No I am not addicted to Bookcrossing but I am addicted to Bookobsessed and especially books.
