My Birthday is on August 4 and I would love to host a swap on that day. :bananadance:

My question is, what kind of swap?

My favorite genres are: Non Genre,Historical Fiction, Non Fiction True Crime,Chick and Vic lit.

Any input what kind of swap I could try to host and get some interest.
If I do a True Crime , I know I wont get many people and I would love to have a big swappy.

Checked the schedule and there are not many swaps scheduled yet in August so i hope I am not stepping at any toes. :)

Chick Lit
Non Genre
So you can just chose a book you'd liked or really want to read from one of those genres. :)

I could play in early August. I have several books that I could play in a Historical Fiction swap, and have recently acquired a highly recommended Chick Lit book, but you may have already read it :giggle: I may also be able to do a non-genre or a Non Fiction swap.

I don't read true crime, and therefore don't own any. What is Vic lit?

I would play if it is not True Crime or Vic Lit (what is that?), a YBS would also be ok. :D

I'd play if it were historical fiction. That's the only genre on that list I read. :giggle: Well, okay I occasionally read true crime, but I don't have any right now, so I couldn't swap.

We could do a YBS with a few of those genres.
No true crime and vic lit cause it seems not a lot of people like it..
vic lit = books about people that were victims of someone or something.


I do not want to take the place of the regular YBS cause I am so glad It is finally starting to be going a bit better with it. lots of people are gonna play..

Edit: I have now just read the faq and the relay killers for swapping. I think I'm going to have to back out - as I am SERIOUSLY confused now. I don't want to make a mistake and ruin things.

I waited about 6 months from joining bookobsessed to when I finally had the nerve to join a swap. It's really much easier than it sounds.

Kiri, don't back out. When I was learning the ropes, I picked someone who seemed friendly and knowledgeable and sent them some examples of what I was thinking and they really helped me out. You probably aren't as far off the mark as you think you are!

Non Fiction- Non Genre- Chick Lit- Historical Fiction.

It seems like it is going to be a big swap and that is needed if we do a 4 genre one.

Eating fresh pineapple for example (don't know if it works) and there's something called wonderoil in the Netherlands which is actually meant for people with obstipation :rofl: but is said to be great for starting contractions.

I used it with my second girl and don't know if it actually worked, but she was born the next day!
