I used the randomizer and this is the order we've got! So, we've got a twelve hour waiting period. When it is your turn, you will receive a PM. If you have not made a move in 12 hours, you will be bumped to the bottom. There is a maximum of 4 steals on this one. (Number of max steals was lowered due to less players this go round.) It's not mandatory to leave moves in your signature, but feel free to do so! Please do not forget to PM the next participant when you have finished your turn. Also, new players are welcome to join!

I noticed that! I am the lone American here. Ah, well. :)

About Ugly Betty, I would guess sometime in September, that's when they usually premiere. I know Lindsay Lohan is supposed to return for a few episodes and I also read that the guy that plays Henry might be demoted to recurring because of the move. They're moving the production of the show from California to New York. That would make me sad. I love Henry. Oh! And I read that Alexis is going to be recurring because Rebecca Romijin doesn't like what the writers have done to her character. Which is turn her to a complete and utter b (my words, not hers).

I think me might be half a series or so behind you. We stopped halfway through series 2. Around the time they went to see Wicked I think.....It hasn't started up again yet.

My reveal is Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella
Linky
When twenty-eight-year-old Lexi Smart wakes up in a London hospital, she's in for a big surprise. Her teeth are perfect. Her body is toned. Her handbag is Vuitton. Having survived a car accident—in a Mercedes no less—Lexi has lost a big chunk of her memory, three years to be exact, and she's about to find out just how much things have changed.

Somehow Lexi went from a twenty-five-year-old working girl to a corporate big shot with a sleek new loft, a personal assistant, a carb-free diet, and a set of glamorous new friends. And who is this gorgeous husband—who also happens to be a multimillionaire? With her mind still stuck three years in reverse, Lexi greets this brave new world determined to be the person she…well, seems to be. That is, until an adorably disheveled architect drops the biggest bombshell of all.

Suddenly Lexi is scrambling to catch her balance. Her new life, it turns out, comes complete with secrets, schemes, and intrigue. How on earth did all this happen? Will she ever remember? And what will happen when she does?

Marleeny is back!! Did you have a good time love?

Lots of peeps doing the YBS this month which is great - disappointing turnout for this one though..So let's have fab books and make them all jealous!!

bluecat07 - July 6, 2008 04:11 PM (GMT)
 Marleney, did you enjoy the beach - and the bookshops?

Marlene - July 6, 2008 05:02 PM (GMT)
Yes! I really enjoyed myself.
Had lots of fun on the beach with the kids. Went for a swim twice. Huge waves.

And my dad took me twice to go and find the secondhand bookstore in Poole.
MY Gosh How cheap. I bought 2 books of Jodi Picoult both only 2 pounds.
The Tenth Circle which I am reading now and nearly finished. Enjoyed it. Plus keeping Faith.

Other books I bought Star by Pamela Anderson for just 1 pound. Extreme By Sharon Osbourne for just 59 cents. :o (charity shops)

New: A Gathering Light for 3.50 and a book for Rowena for the same price. Supermarket

Our house, which was big was near the sea and we had our own beach. Only people there were kite surfers.

My parents are staying till Saturday. The flight was lovely too.

But boy how cheap those books are in The UK nowadays. We still have the fixed prices.

SimplyCee - July 6, 2008 05:40 PM (GMT)
I do love cheap books. You got some really good deals.

Jordanne - July 6, 2008 06:07 PM (GMT)

Synopsis
Alexandra Brennan is doing just fine in a dead end job working for people she hates in New York, until she bumps into an ex in a bar, and he tells her she'll never make it to graduate school in the UK. Never one to let a challenge pass her by, Alex applies and when she gets a place at the University of York, she finds herself on a plane to the other side of the Atlantic, wondering what on earth she's done. Armed with American cigarettes and extra-strength coffee, Alex is ready to face everything Britain has to offer - beer, blokes and more books than she can possibly read in a year. Falling for her lecturer, the divine Sean Douglas, and managing to get a Master's somewhere along the line, Alex realises that instead of running away from home, she might just have found it.

Currently reading and it is quite nice so far :D

Your Big break by Johanna Edwards

My BC Journal

Okay I am offering a book which I really liked:

From Booklist
Breaking up is hard to do. Dani Myers does it for a living. As a "communications specialist" for Your Big Break, Inc., she does the dirty work for dumpers--from Dear John letters to property retrieval to breakup recovery kits. But Dani has trouble obeying one of the company's cardinal rules: "Do not get personally involved." She dispels the guilt from breaking couples up by playing matchmaker for her dumpees. Of course, she ends up falling for one herself. Things are already getting complicated when a new client turns out to be her father's mistress. The premise may seem farfetched, but Edwards makes it work with realistic characters. Readers will find the themes of the novel very relatable--who hasn't experienced heartbreak or the excitement of new love? Chick-lit enthusiasts will welcome this fresh and funny addition from the author of The Next Big Thing.user posted image out of 18 reviews on amazon.com

Suburbanistas by Pamela Redmond Satran

Greetings from New Jersey
Stella Powers is an A-list movie star who has just landed an Oscar-worthy role and a hot new rock-star husband when her mother's death brings her world tumbling down. Floundering as her life becomes one tabloid horror after another, Stella finds herself stuck in the New Jersey suburb she fled twenty years ago. But Homewood is no longer the sleepy town she remembers: housing prices are sky-rocketing and glitzy new stores-and people- are moving in. To Stella and her young daughter, this is good news.

Wish you weren't here
The bad news: Stella's childhood best friend, Mary Jean, who married Stella's old boyfriend and raised four kids in Homewood, can no longer afford to live there. Mary Jean is determined to wrest back the town but needs Stella on her side. The stakes for both women are high, but how can these old friends reconnect after so much time has passed? Or more importantly, how can they not?

Glad to see you are back from your trip.

Hi lizzie. Thanks. good to see you too.

I am off to bed. nearly done with the Tenth Circle. I liked this book but it only has 3.5 stars on amazon.

Arriving home I found a book I mooched in the hallway. No Easy Answers (about Columbine) might go and read that or pick the other Picoult book I bought. Now I wish i had bought more books by her. There were more in the shop. Might ask my dad. :)

Keeping Faith is the one I have. great reviews.
