I've noticed that the number of people skipping or replacing only in the box is getting really high. This leads to people putting books in, then just having to replace them two months later. I think this is part of a site-wide slowdown...

So, I'm wondering if people would prefer to make this box every other month instead of every month. Or whether folks think the books should stay in the box longer.

Are they not getting pulled because no one wants them? Or are they not getting pulled because participants don't have enough books to add?

Thoughts?

Some boxes only have a few books taken out every month. This one is so big, with so many people, I'm all for keeping it the way it is. I might forget about it if it was every two months.

Generally if I skip it's because I don't have anything to put in. I generally don't put in TBR's because it's too easy to be overextended.

I just often find there's nothing I'm interested in. With it covering any type of book, sometimes there's just nothing in genres I want to read. I don't think that's a problem though, I just wait for the next round. I voted stay as we are because I like having it every month. :D

I think it's all of the above - I don't put TBR books into VBBs so I have to wait until I have an AVL that I think someone will like enough to put in, plus I have to want a book a lot to take it out due to scary levels of TBR :giggle:

Ditto. I only take out something I really really want - which I do find every so often!

My reasons are all of the above including not putting TBR books in the box plus if I have 5 or more already in the box that haven't been selected I usually skip just in the off chance that all 5 books could be selected in the same round - that's about my limit for mailing all at once!

I haven't been as active because none of the books in the box are on my wishlist and I'm trying to cut down on my non-wishlist pick-ups!

I like the way this runs though and don't see a need to change it.
