Title: Philippa Gregory - Tudor books
Description: Recommended reading order?

msjoanna - May 5, 2008 08:15 PM (GMT)
I've just started reading The Other Boleyn Girl and have been really enjoying it. I thought I'd keep a look out for the other books from this series...

But...

I can't seem to figure out what order these books go in. Could someone recommend an order in which to read the other books from this set:

--The Constant Princess
--The Virgin Lover
--The Queen's Fool
--The Boleyn Inheritance

It looks to me like The Constant Princess might really be a prequel...so maybe I should look for that one next?

Help, please!

Per her website, it goes as follows:
Q. In what order did you write the newest series of books?

It happens that I wrote the books out of order. But if you want to establish the time line of the novels they would go:
The Constant Princess (Katherine of Aragon);
The Other Boleyn Girl (Anne Boleyn);
The Boleyn Inheritance (Anne of Cleves and Katherine Howard);
The Queens Fool (Mary Tudor and Elizabeth 1)
The Virgin’s Lover (Elizabeth 1).
And, to be published in 2008, The Other Queen (Mary Queen of Scots).

Hope this helps!

I don't think it really matters though. I read them in order of publication:
TOBG
TQF
TV'sL
and I wasn't confused.

and I have TBI and TCP waiting tbr
