I voted Shadow of the Wind cos it's on my Mt TBR for ages and it's slightly less fat than The Book Thief :) I have read the other two.

I would have bought I Capture the Castle it it would be chosen but do not think Shadow of The Wind is my kind of book.

I didn't vote this time since I probably wouldn't read any of those. I've read Memory Keepers Daughter (and really liked it). Tried to read Shadow of the Wind for book club, but just couldn't get into it so I wouldn't want to commit.

I voted for Shadow of the Wind and Slammerkin before I read that I was only supposed to vote for one. I think that voting for as many of the books that you would participate with is more accurate than just choosing one though.

I voted Shadow of the Wind because I have it on my shelf TBR and it's one of those books that I'll never get around to reading unless I'm prodded. But I'd be happy with Memory Keeper's Daughter too.

I picked Slammerkin cuz I have it here on my Mt. TBR

I voted for the Book Thief as it's on my TBR and it's already owed too, so need to read it soon anyhow. Though I do have the Memory Keeper's Daughter as well. I'd be just as likely to read along for that one too. :D

I voted for Shadow of the Wind also. I have it on MT. TBR. The others I don't. But I wouldn't mind reading the Book Thief if I got a hold of a copy. :whistle:

I was thinking it might give us a more defined result on 1 vote each, but I don't supose it matters either way :D

I voted Slammerkin as it has been on TBR the longest, but would do any apart from Shadow Of The Wind as I have already read that! (waiting on my m-bag before I can read Book Thief though!)

That'll be 6th May, ao how long should be allow to get copies of the book? Is everyone okay to start at the beginning of June, or do you need longer?

Also, if everyone is keen shall we take the one that comes out 2nd as the next one to read? Perhaps starting in August? That should give people a head start to get a copy :)

Hope you all love the book. It was my best of 2007 read which went to Marlene so I am glad she now has an excuse to read it (since I know she really wanted to)

Yes You are dead on. I am so thrilled I can finally read it. Well I could have read it myself of course. Read the first 3 pages and at least I like the writing.

It is much nicer to read it with more people.
