Consider this... The April YBS is beginning on the 28th and will run over into May has been cancelled. :angry: In April, the US-only and YBS swaps were scheduled to be running at the same time.

I'd strongly suggest that the YBS swap not be scheduled at the same time as the US Only swap. We might pick up a couple more US players if they wouldn't have to be playing two swaps at the same time. Given that the May US Only swap is scheduled for the 19th, and that the April swap was cancelled, I voted for May 12. That's my birthday and seems a very good day to start a swap. I also voted for the 25th in case the 12th doesn't work for some reason.

By the way ... sign me up. I'm playing!

Thanks for the suggestion....the YBS has been running for a long time on a monthly basis uisually with a pretty good turn out. I really hope that I do not have to begin scheduling it around other swaps. Considering how it is the ONLY everyone and anything welcome swap I would hope other swaps could be booked around it. I am not a supporter of the USonly swap and I have my suspisions that the lack of participation in April is because of the USonly swap....

There was also the Fort holder's swap which only finished today and also had a lot of players and that was open to anyone. That of course won't be taking place in May.

I totally disagree that the lack of players was due to the US Swap.. there were only 8 people that played in it.. several dropped out of it too. I think its the time of year and with the "database" now everyone is playing catch up!

I have been planning the US Swap every month on the 4th Friday. In May I did not since it is Memorial Day weekend here in the states and alot of people here go camping or do outside things that weekend.

I didn't mean to imply that the lack of players in the YBS was due to the US Swap -- just that some people might find it difficult to keep up with multiple swaps going on at the same time. I also made a point in the April YBS sign-up thread that the US post only had 8 participants, so maybe there wasn't as strong a need to cancel the YBS with less than 10 players.

Indeed -- the database makes it more visible when the owed TBRs are getting out of control and I think people are being a bit more diligent about catching up and not letting things get worse. It's a good thing, but has had the side effect of making some of the swaps smaller than usual.

I'm in! Voted for all but the 12th as I'm v. busy that week.

Fingers crossed that we get a good amount of interest. The YBS is one of my faves!

I'll definitely play any of these dates except for the 23rd and 25th, which is right before Memorial Day and I'll be travelling that week.

I voted for either of the Monday's, though the Sunday would work ok too. I try not to set up for Fri or Sat as those are the days I'm out and about the most, so can't gurantee I'll be around when needed.

Honestly, I think it was more the new database and restrictions. I am holding back if I don't have an available book. Just trying to catch up.

I voted for the April YBS but also said I would be out of the country until yesterday (28th) so wouldn't have been able to sign up in time...

Ah well I have far too many books to read at the moment as do we all!

The later in May the better as far as I'm concerned.. but as I may well be the only Southern Hemisphere player, it's pretty immaterial when I pick 'cos it won't mean the same thing for you 'Northerners' any way!

Numbers for the YBS swap have been dwindling in the last months which is a shame. It is because of the US only swap or is it the time of year or is it the new restrictions??? It would be awful to lose this swap
