My email has broken! Was working fine last night and before I went to bed I ran Norton.

This morning, I cannot download into Windows mail. My daughters emails download and so does my husbands - I can send from my Windows mail account but I get and 'Unknown Error' message and it will not download my mails :rant:

Have just been on the phone to my service provider for an hour and they don't seem to have a clue either! Have tried turning the firewall off but that hasn't made any dofference.

Could it be Norton? But if so, why is everyone else's accounts ok??

Any ideas! I'm tearing my hair out here!! :rant2:

I was thinking, maybe something changed with your settings, did you check? I've had that happen to me.
You are not talking about Outlook Express?

My guess is that your local mail file has become corrupted. Do a search for it and try changing the extension so that your mail program can't find your local file. It should then prompt you to create a new local file. That should fix the problem. Good luck!
