Also, I'm not sure if anything was decided about restrictions. Can anyone enlighten me?

Restrictions? You mean date of books? Last swap I think all books offered were not so old? right? Or do you mean something else?

I am in. :bananadance:

No, no not for the dates. But for time limits and such? Or are we still voting? I haven't checked because it's a lot of pages to read through.

Oh I am glad.

yay sunny . :bananadance: I would love to get to know some new titles.

I am planning on buying a DVD box on play.com and want to buy a chick lit book with it.

But which book to buy. One which I will enjoy but will also be popular in future CL swaps?

Hmmm. I remember the Jennifer Colt book I offered got stolen out. The series with the twins that are detectives. I didn't care for it but I've seen some of the titles on quite a few wishlists. I adore the Ivy League novels by Diana Peterfreund, Secret Society Girl & Under the Rose.

I'm trying to think of more... My aunt has given me a bunch of chick lit books she picked up from library sales so that's where mine have come from. Or I'll look through people's shelves that I know have similar tastes to mine and see what they have. Add them to my wishlist or try to trade for them on BC. If I buy a book, it's usually romance.

Marlene - April 22, 2008 07:52 AM (GMT)
Thanks babe. I did find a few. one of them on my wish list. :)

Marlene - April 23, 2008 11:23 AM (GMT)
I do not like mystery chick lit books, if you catch my drift.

Where all all the players of last time.
we had so much fun even though we were with a small crew. One of my favorite swaps.

time limits. I think just as always? 12 hours?

xallroyx - April 23, 2008 01:46 PM (GMT)
Add me! :)

Marlene - April 23, 2008 05:21 PM (GMT)
yes. :bananadance: :bananadance:

Sunlightbub - April 23, 2008 05:38 PM (GMT)
Where is everyone??

elsi - April 23, 2008 07:15 PM (GMT)
Sorry -- not this month. I've bought new books for this swap the past couple months. I have gotten some very good books in return, but haven't read them yet. Once I catch up my reading, I'll be back to re-swap some books.

camis - April 23, 2008 07:29 PM (GMT)
Me please :D

Marlene - April 23, 2008 07:29 PM (GMT)
But you do not have to use new books elsi.

I for one still have not read so many Žolder' chick lit books
Okay most of the well known books like Jen Weiner and Jane Green, Kinsella and Cabot I did read but there are still so many other books.

Just received PS I love you from Blue. well that is quite an old cl book, but I had not yet read it.

My point is that I don't *have* any Chick Lit books. I bought a couple to allow me to play in the swap. That brought some more to me -- and I can play with those as soon as I read them. Given that I don't have anything read right now & I don't want to buy another book & I don't want to play with a TBR, it's best if I sit out for one month. I promise to read at least one Chick Lit book in the next month so I can play in June.

Marlene - April 24, 2008 10:58 AM (GMT)
Oops . sorry

I understand. Some of the books I've played with were from stacks that my aunt gave to me last year. I got about 10 for Christmas alone. Others are from relays or the for sale shelf at the library (where it only costs me $1). I don't really buy them either. And I'm always iffy about playing with TBRs. I never know what I might be in the mood for.

We'll see you next go round! :D

PS: I registered 100 books!!!!!!!!!!!! It took almost 3 years but I did it! :dance3:

Congratulations!!

I won't play this time either, sorry. I have too many owed tbr at the moment. There are 6 swap books but worst of all books that I owe other BCers because of a trade or RABCK and some since last year. So I need to get those read and send and in that pile there are some chicklits. So I don't want to add another owed book and especially not a chicklit, don't wanna get sick of them! :D But if I will be good in the next two months I will play next time again...

Marlene - April 24, 2008 12:10 PM (GMT)
Yes I understand. Nothing worse than the feeling of having to read or send many books.
Hope to see you in the next one.

I hardly ever buy chick lit but lately I did buy some books. Most of them already offered in swaps and send on.

Now I ordered 3 new chick lits. I like having a few to read around. It is good for me to not only read depressing books.

The one thing I find with chick lit there are so many but not many good ones. You really have to be careful what you buy. :)

Flicki - April 29, 2008 08:24 PM (GMT)
I'll play! :-) I still have a few books owing to others, but there's no chicklit in between. I hope there's no problem playing with a tbr? (I'm already catching up, no prob! ;-))

GateGypsy - May 1, 2008 12:18 AM (GMT)
I want to play! I think I need more Chick Lit in my life!

boomda181 - May 1, 2008 02:45 AM (GMT)

6 more days.

Which book to chose.
Well I have enough time to read.

Which book shall I pick to read tonight?
Reading my behind off lately.

SimplyCee - May 4, 2008 12:35 AM (GMT)
I can't decide what to read either. I decided to just go with the library books since those have to be returned. I have... 5 or so books from the Crime of Fashion (I think that's what it's called) series by Ellen Byerrum. I'm on the first one. It's ok so far. I'm only about 80 pages into it.

Marlene - May 4, 2008 01:45 PM (GMT)
lol. well I am rading 2 books right now. Not something I really like but I have a problem getting into one.
Oh well. I think I am gonna take a shower and do some laundry and then read.

nursiegirl42 - May 6, 2008 07:14 AM (GMT)
I will join this one too.. I have my book ready!

camis - May 6, 2008 10:36 AM (GMT)

xallroyx - May 8, 2008 01:38 PM (GMT)
