This pic Alicia took last night from her back porch. They just moved to North Carolina in January and I'm so scared for them right now. I'll be a nervous wreck until this is over and it doesn't look like anytime soon as they have been fighting it for a couple of days now. It wasn't supposed to head towards her but I guess Mother Nature is being fickle.

We had to battle the fires a while back when most of Florida was burning, but it never got this close.

My sister and BIL are firefighters with the Forestry Department and often travel out of state to help fight fires, so our family is very familiar with the dangers of these fires.


Let your daughter know that our prayers are with them.

Just received a call from Alicia and the fire is just smoldering now as it rained a bit. Some relief anyway and now I can rest a bit. Whew!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the well wishes and good vibes. They helped a lot. Oh yah and the rain dance God really did some good. :D
