I'm reading Grave Sight by Charlaine Harris... and I'm begining to wonder if she's heard of or ran accross bookcrossing before.
Don't worry this isn't a spoiler for the book... at least I don't think it is... it's not so far anyway :bash:
On page 50 it says:

We keep a box of secondhand paperbacks in the backseat of the car. When each book has been read, we leave it where someone else can pick it up. IF the book's in very good shape we keep it to trade. We stop at every secondhand bookstore we see to restock. Iv'e read a lot of things I hadn't planned on reading, due to the selection at these stores. And I've read a lot of books years after they were bestsellers, which doesn't bother me a bit.

I know there was another part about it too, something about one guy either left a book on a seat/bench or he found one. (Can't remember the page # right off, but it was before this last bit.)
Makes me wonder if Charlaine is within our ranks.
It would be awesome if she had mentioned bookcrossing.com as well as the practice !
Isn't Charlaine Harris a paranormal writer ? I thought she wrote about vampires and the like, but I guess even vampires can be bookcrossers!
hahaha that's pretty funny. It certainly sounds like she's familiar with BC!

Actually besides the Sookie series, which is paranormal and mystery-like, she also writes regular mysteries and cozies without any paranormal elements.
