Title: Back from vacation!
Description: with photos

ladyjanet - March 23, 2008 10:51 PM (GMT)
3600 miles on a train and several more in a car, but we are back, sunburned and broke.

We went to Albuquerque, NM where it's sunny and 70 degrees every day, then to Canyon De Chelly (pronounced "d'shay") Arizona and got to see Anasazi ruins, shopped in Santa Fe and eat mounds of excellent Mexican food.

ETA: A couple more photos are on my blog- link below

Welcome home Janet  Beautiful pics of your trip. What you said on your blog about being broke but had the best time, I think they are the best trips :D

My cousin and her family used to live in AZ. My mom visited and said it was beautiful there.

Beautiful pictures! I love Santa Fe, but I've never been able to shop there! Now I know you are broke. It sounds like a fantastic trip. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Hey welcome back LJ. Love the pics. You are gorgeous and if I would not know better I would think you were Dutch.
You look like a Dutch girl.

Laughing over the expression on your son's face.

Those drawings on the wall are great. But I assume the hands are not old ones?

ladyjanet - March 25, 2008 04:10 AM (GMT)
the hands and other paintings are about 1800 years old. Good guess on my family, but just a bit off. My grandmothers grandparents were fron Denmark, and loads of German in there too. Just enough Irish to make my son's beard red.

I did have breakfast with a Dutch Girl (of about 60) one morning. She's a friend of my step-mom. I thought about asking her if she knew you. :giggle:

Sure. The population of the Netherlands in 2003 was estimated by the United Nations at 16,149,000

Yes You could be from Scandiavia too. That very blond look with the blue eyes but still get a lovely tanned skin during summer.
