Title: Books for Releasing/OBCZ
Description: Does anyone need any?
Three - March 23, 2008 05:04 PM (GMT)
I'm (slowly) working on clearing out some books, one I know I'll never or don't want to read anymore, duplicates, etc. I've checked most wish lists and trading sites but still have some that no one wants. Does anyone need any for releasing or OBCZs? I'll send out a few pounds to you, if so. Otherwise, they will go to Goodwill. I thought I would ask here first.
Thanks.
I'll be asking over at BC, also.

I'm always up for books for releasing. :) We have one OBCZ that I haven't been to in a while. I love wild releasing books that have already been other places. I think that is probably more interesting for the finder.

The Austrian OBCZ's are always happy to get books and at the moment there is an MBag you could add them to if you want?

If you want to send some, I can release them at the Reading festival, or at the local group/OCBZ....
Please PM me if you're still interested. Thanks!

The Panera Bread BookCrossing baskets always empty very fast around here. So if you are still looking to get rid of some books, I would be happy to release them in Panera BookCrossing baskets in the Chicago area.

| Any preferences? |
Anything and everything gets picked up at the OBCZ's here. One OBCZ is based in an English cinema and the other in an Irish pub. I can also release books at the monthly English Bookcrossing meet-up and I always leave books at the English foodstore so anything usually goes!
I think the only things from previous donations that are still sitting on the shelves are romances, older books and things like 'Murder she Wrote'.

Glad to see I'm not the only one dropping books off in the Panera Baskets!
I just feel bad for the stores that don't have loyal bookcrossers dropping books off on a regular basis. It's always so sad to see the empty baskets when we make an un-planned stop at one of them...

If you don't mind the fact that they'd be sitting here awhile (and some may get released/mooched/traded elsewhere) I'd love some animal titles. I'm already starting to collect for the September animal release challenge. I'd be happy to send you a list of my avl's (my BC shelf isn't UTD) if you'd like to trade!

I run an OBCZ at my work here in Whitehorse, YT that could use some re-stocking, if you have any books to spare. We get all sorts here, especially through the summer, as the Starbucks I work at is right on the edge of a Wal-Mart parking lot that FILLS with trailers and RVs, so books could end up ANYPLACE. I don't have any particular preferences for types of books -- anything: kids, teens, adults... mystery, general fiction, romance... maybe nothing really really explicit :giggle: That is, if you can afford to send some up to Canada. I could help with postage, if you'd like. I have so much trouble keeping it stocked all by myself. The books all disappear, but there are very few people who bring in replacements.

I received my box today - Thank you!
I had already stopped at a Panera Bread today before I got your box, but I will be stopping there again soon. Thanks so much for all the books!
