Marlene - March 21, 2008 03:32 PM (GMT)
Thanks for putting me on the list.
I have my eye on maybe 2 books that have 3 red * on them.
What do I do? pm the owners? Cause they will have to change there books. Or wait to see if someone else will take those books before it is there turn?

well, generally you say in the thread "hey so and so, can you leave those books in because I intend to take them on my turn" and then the box mod can put a note by them for you. It's never been an issue where someone who asked to reserve a "needing to be replaced" like that lost them to another person, so I'm not sure what would happen in that case, if someone else is interested. I suppose you could wait until right before their turn to say it? I'm guessing that you won't have to fight for them though, I mean, 3 stars means 3 rounds and no one has claimed them yet, so it's probably fine. Not quite the same as a swap, where you're trying to keep your moves kinda stealthy. ;)

I know Im late but can I be added to this box???

post in the thread and I'll make a note in the list so that the owners won't replace the books

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Round 11 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ TURN TIME LIMIT RULES1. Turn time is 2 full days, 48 hours from the time the update listing the player's turn is posted.
2. If two days is a problem for you (i.e. you can't get online during the weekends, or will be on a trip, etc.) please let me know so that I can put a note by your name and allow you extra time.
3. If the full 48 hours has passed with no word from the player, the next player will go, and the missing player will be moved down 1 space. We will do this 3 times, but without the 2 day time limit each time. A Player skipped in this way will only have the time it takes for the next three people to take their turns to check in before being dropped to the bottom of the list (this is all if we have not heard from the player). It will look like this: 2 days, skip, skip, skip, bottom. If a player is skipped in this way and/or placed at the bottom, that spot will become their new permanent spot until the list is reshuffled.
4. The Box Organizer will be the time keeper and determine a skip or bottom placement.
5. This bookbox will make its rounds EVERY OTHER MONTH and books may be left in for THREE rounds.
6. Members who have books owed that are over 4 rounds old will not be able to participate in the box until those books are sent out.ON YOUR TURN:1. Select the number of books that you want to take out of the box and list them for us in your post.
2. Replace those with the same number of books and please provide links to the journal entries for your books if possible. (or more if you like, sometimes people do).
3. If you decide to skip, you have the option to ask to be placed at the bottom of the list for another try. If you do this, that will become your new permanent spot until the list is reshuffled. (reshuffling will happen after every 3rd round)
4. New players will be accepted during play - they will be added to the bottom of the list.
