I grew up on his books. He was my favorite Science-Fiction author!

:cry: I just saw the obituary in one of our newspapers (Costa Rica always behind in things!) I knew there would be a forum topic here.
What a great loss! He was quite a visionary and a great writer, although I must admit I just know his science fiction stories.
I didn't know he was into scuba diving and that he wrote about that too.
