Ok, so here's my attempt to run a VBB. Please bare with me while this gets going. I'm hoping that it will be good and people will enjoy it. I have donated a few books that I have to starting this up. I hope that we will be able to get more people to play.

ETA: Quick Question ...... is anyone counting authors in anthologies or other such collection of short stories? I ask as I have quite a few of these on my shelf and they are a fun way to sample a new author.

Only two more days to the picking can begin! There are a few letters that I need, but there are so many good choices I don't know where to start!

Since we are about to get started with book selecting I thought I would make this note. On the Out of Play thread I will just edit the first post that I have in there with the list of books that people have selected. That way the list of books that haven't been received yet will always be first. Then when someone mails out a book they can just add a post to that thread that they have mailed it. And when someone receives a book they can add a post that it has been received. I will note dates mailed on the first post and remove the book from the Out of Play thread when it has been received. That way people can easily go back and see what books they have selected or need to send from previous rounds easily. Basically works the same as how other Out of Play threads. Just wanted to make the note on here in case someone wasn't sure how it worked.

1. The main focus of this VBB is to help people find the more difficult letters to help them complete the reading challenge. Difficult letters are: A, E, I, J, O, Q, U, X, Y, and Z. There can be an unlimited number of books for each of these letters. All other letters are limited to 2 books by any author. For example, If there is a Stephen King and a Dean Koontz, or two Dean Koontz books already in the box no more K's can be added until one is taken out.

2. There is no limit as to how long a books can stay in the box.

3. For now there are no rounds. This may change in the future. Book selection is based of a first to post first to receive. Also, please do not make more than one selection per calendar month so that others have a chance to choose from the books listed.

4. You must replace the same number of books that you select.

5. Please PM the person who's you are selecting to let them know that you would like their book.

6. This VBB is open to international players. If you do not wish to ship internationally please let me know which countries you prefer to ship to so that it can be noted next to your name.

7. Place books under the letter corresponding to the author's last name. For books with multiple authors, they can be place under the letter for any of the authors.

8. This is open to any genre of books.

9. If one of your books is selected you must mail it out within six months. For example, if you have a book selected by another player in April you must send the book(s) out by October.

10. TBR books are ok to be listed, but must be noted as a TBR and still be able to send the book out within six months.

11. Any rules changes while go into effect at the start of the next calendar month.
