Title: wrong time for "last action"
Description: bizarre & confusing

Potok-fan - March 9, 2008 08:51 AM (GMT)
I don't see anyone else posting about this, but I think it was happening to me already yesterday. Here's what happened this morning:

I scanned through the opening board, and under "site news & announcements" it said that the last post was one by meshe in "Discussing the new guidelines". [I just went back and refreshed to check, and yup, it still does.]

But here's the weird thing. When I went to the next page, the list for Site News and Announcements, it showed that the most recent post was by Marlene, in "Swap restrictions"

So I clicked on her post... only to find that it's an old post: "Posted on Mar 6 2008, 09:20 PM". But when I refreshed the board for Site News and Announcements, it *still* says that this post of hers was as recent as "9th March 2008, 10:06 AM".

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.12. Have I got some setting wrong somehow, or is this a board bug or what?

It's because it's a poll and the "last action" was someone voting in the poll. When that happens, it shows the thread as if a new post were made, but it's really just the vote.

Aha! A very simple explanation. Thanks so much!
