Title: How much snow do you have?
Tribefan - March 8, 2008 04:21 PM (GMT)
I have between 8 - 10 inches right now with 8 - 10 more to come! My work has been cancelled so I am stay home all day and all night!
EllyMae58 - March 8, 2008 04:24 PM (GMT)
Zero!!
It's a bright and sunny 60 degrees (and going to get warmer) and we're getting ready to pack up Scooter and go down by the marina and walk by the water and have lunch al fresco. :)
cheesygiraffe - March 8, 2008 04:31 PM (GMT)
We have snow here! :omg: Only 1 inch or so. :giggle:
CheriePie - March 8, 2008 04:53 PM (GMT)
All the rain melted all the snow away from previous weeks! :yahoo: Good riddance! LOL
caligula03 - March 8, 2008 05:08 PM (GMT)
No snow. It only snows here once every thirty or forty years.
CdnBlueRose - March 8, 2008 06:08 PM (GMT)
None right now! It snowed earlier in the week but it's all melted away..... :)

And the sun has come out and it's already melted. A little is left in some shady spots.
indygo88 - March 8, 2008 06:38 PM (GMT)
Ohio got quite a bit, didn't it?? We've currently got about 2-3", with about an inch of ice below that!
HoserLauren - March 8, 2008 07:39 PM (GMT)
We've had about 15cm between last night and today.
I really want to go out and jump in the snow on our lawn because we've apparently had 171cm so far this year. Though some of it has melted down so I would imagine ice would stop my jump into the snow lol
ladyjanet - March 8, 2008 07:50 PM (GMT)
About an inch right now. We've had a pretty snowy year so far- probably 30 inches so far.

Whoa! That's a lot of snow! Is this normal amount you usually get or more?
171 cm is about 67 inches if anyone was wondering...

We're on track for the most snow in history!!
Before today's storm the amount was greater than any previous winter back to some time in the 1930s.
We'll see what happens over the next couple of weeks. The cities are running out of salt to put on the roads so hopefully we don't get too much more!
zosime - March 8, 2008 08:50 PM (GMT)
We've had 68 inches so far this year. We've had a couple of rain storms melt it back a little, so right now I'd say we have about 12-14 inches on the ground. We're supposed to get another inch tonight. :giggle:

We haven't run out of salt yet, but the city's budget for snow removal is blown!!
There is a very good possibility that we will break the record for most snowfall ever, this year:
Winter of 1970/1971 = 383cm of snow as of the end of March.
So far this year we have gotten about 325 and they are expecting another 30 by tonight, more Sunday night, too. (and we are still in the beginning of March)
Quebec City has gotten over 400cm so far. I don't know if they broke their record, but I think not, as they usually get more snow than we do.
sejent - March 8, 2008 09:05 PM (GMT)
We closed the university at 1 p.m. yesterday and over the course of yesterday/last night/this morning, we got about 8-9 inches. That is A LOT for us. DH and I just finished shoveling the driveway and in a bit we are going to venture out for groceries. Days like this I'm very glad he has a truck.
AceofHearts - March 8, 2008 10:14 PM (GMT)
We are in the middle of a BIG snow storm and were finally able to get reservations at our favourite restaurant
PepperVL - March 8, 2008 11:47 PM (GMT)
We ended up with between 132 & 15 inches here... and we're supposed to get more tomorrow.
And, in case anyone was wondering, when they tell you to stay off the roads unless it's an emergency, and give the police the power to ticket you at their discretion simply for DRIVING in it (unless you can show that it is really an emergency), that apparently means "Go buy patio grills & sun dresses at Target."
Seriously.
cowgirl-up - March 9, 2008 01:08 AM (GMT)
Not sure what the final number was. There was lots of wind so bunches of it got blown around. We're saying 12-15 that actually fell.
elsi - March 9, 2008 02:01 AM (GMT)
It's almost gone now, but we had over 8 inches on Thursday. You can see my photos of the snow at my Flickr account at

Daelith - March 9, 2008 02:03 AM (GMT)
We had about 3-4 inches, but most of it melted today. At least I got to leave work a little early yesterday. :P
SciFisstrs - March 9, 2008 06:54 AM (GMT)
We had a lot of rain and wind now. There is flooding going on here too.
Tribefan - March 9, 2008 01:18 PM (GMT)
Well, I just got my internet back! :bananadance:
Total snowfall here was 13-15 inches. I'll try to post some pictures later! Everything around her closed included my work! So what does that mean? Mike (my so) should go to the local bar (which of course was open) and drink with the other crazy people!
Lemonitsa - March 9, 2008 08:43 PM (GMT)
The snow's finally stopped. We all had a *grand* time cleaning out the car. Here's a pic, the top is yesterday afternoon when the blowing snow began. The greenish car is my neighbour's. The bottom is about 1pm today, after we got my dad's car ready. You can see that my neighbour has some work to do! All that nice untouched snow beside my dad's car is the sidewalk on our side of the street.
Lemonitsa - March 9, 2008 08:53 PM (GMT)
And we made a 'pocket' for my car, too.
AceofHearts - March 9, 2008 09:30 PM (GMT)
At some intersections thay have had to clear the snow away from the Stop part of the sign because the snow plow kind of buried it
lmn60 - March 10, 2008 01:30 AM (GMT)
Wow! This snow stuff is very intriguing to an Aussie like me. Not that I'm keen to experience it again - 20 years ago in London was enough for me!
...And should I mention that I'm wearing shorts and am about to turn on the air conditioning here in Melbourne???? Probably not!
momx3lovesbooks - March 10, 2008 02:25 AM (GMT)
My heart goes out to all of you with snow!
Here in sunny central Nebraska..we have 0" of snow. :giggle: I think the temps are going to be in the upper 50's, low 60's for the next 5 days! I am really tempted to put away the kids snow gear..
Danesnboxers - March 10, 2008 02:52 AM (GMT)
We had 10" at the beginning of last week and within 24 hours most of it melted. Now we are supposed to have 50-60 degrees for the next 3 days. Ack, the mud.
