OH.. btw.. I have two birthday parties to go to this weekend. The one on Saturday I'm not looking forward to.. I really do NOT like this kid's mom... but her and my sister are best friends, and my kid and her kid play while J's at my sisters.. so I'm being nice and letting J go.

I'll be away all day Saturday myself. We've rented a limo and a bunch of friends are heading down to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut (Bon Jovi and Daughtry are playing there too so we might try to see if we can scalp some tix) to celebrate my friend's 40th birthday.

I'm going to go figure out my reveal and send it to a few people (will update signature to list who has it). I've got lots of yummy paranormals in Mount TBR, so I think I'll pick one that I'm dying to read (well, there are several of those) so that way I'll have a good reason for reading it!

I'll be gone for the rest of the evening, but I'll check back in first thing tomorrow morning.

We had a couple tornadoes touch down in surrounding areas, which is why they put us under tornado warning. I have heard that there were some fatalities with one, but nothing confirmed yet. Closer to home there was a lot of wind damage and some power outages.

But imagine 650 PreK - 5th grade student hunkered down in the hallways under threat of Tornadoes for over 30 minutes and imagine what the rest of the day has been like after that. :yikes:

It is still very wet here, but I think that that worst of it is gone. I would not trade our weather for snow though. I am not a cold weather kind of girl. :brr:

Argh!! I'm having problems sending the PMs. I tried sending to cherie, cheesy, luckaye, and Amber. The page timed out. Then it said that luckaye's box was full and it wouldn't send. But it timed out again. I checked the sent mail folder - nothing. Tried sending to cherie, cheesy, and amber. Timed out twice more. Tried sending just to cherie. Went through. Yay! So I thought.

I now have copies of four messages in my sent mail folder, all saying they went to cherie. So I'm not sure if the others got my message or not. My apologies for the multiple messages (they're all the same). And if I didn't get through to those I've listed, let me know and I'll deal with it first thing in the morning (heading out right now for the evening). Sorry!

I was having the same prob Karen. All mine did go out, but they took about 30 mins before they showed up.

Just wanted to let you all know I will be out most of the evening. My reveal is out there and i doubt VERY highly my turn will come up. :giggle: Hubby just got home and informed me he set up an early Anniversary surprise for me. (we celebrate 12 yrs on the 16th) I was told to do my hair and make up if I want and find my favorite dress/skirt outfit. :lol: He NEVER asks me to wear something specific, let alone a dress! Usually when we are going out he tells me to pick him out something presentable. :rofl:

So modern setting tells me it's contemporary indeed. It seemed on the verge of a traditional or epic fantasy which is why I checked. (Sorry Terra, had to verify...) :blush: But yeah based on what I found at the Amazon page, it looks to be fine. :thumbsup: (just in case anyone else was wondering...)
