I'm planning on "balancing my books" with EcoLibris this month -- not all of them, but at least ten before the end of March, and more to come, as part of my committments to doing my part in reducing my greenhouse gas emissions. Basically, how EcoLibris works is, you donate to their cause, and they plant trees on your behalf: donate $10, receive 10 stickers, plant 10 trees. It's cheaper the more you do at a time. They send stickers to attach to your books that explain that the book has been balanced by the planting of one tree, and they probably have the EcoLibris website address on them to spread the word. I haven't received any yet; this would be my first time donating.

They've got a promotion on right now where, for every 10 books you balance (by donating and stickering them), you will receive 1 bonus bookmooch point. Now, I don't have a bookmooch membership, and I don't plan on getting one, but I figured that there's no sense in wasting the point! So, I figured I'd gather the names of interested bookmoochers and draw a random winner out of a hat to get my point.

SO, I will do the draw on the 13th of March, so that I have the winner's name when I do the transaction after payday :grin:

How it'll work is: I put the bookmooch nickname in the communication box when I complete the transaction, and they apply the points. So, I need to know everyone's bookmooch nickname if it's different from the nickname you're using here at bookobsessed.
