ladyjanet - March 1, 2008 07:40 PM (GMT)
I was just wondering how Milan was doing with all the protests and such in Serbia. Isn't his Mom in Kosovo? Anyone heard from him? I see he hasn't been here since the day after it all started.

redhot-brat - March 4, 2008 01:05 AM (GMT)
So glad to hear he is safe n sound atleast, even if he is emotionally not doing well. :hug:

purple-pixie - March 4, 2008 09:21 AM (GMT)
Good to hear he's safe.

Back in the days before Bookcrossing these conflicts were much less personal, they were just terribly sad news items - now they are a cause for concern about those we know in places I'll never visit. My family understand, but my husband's family think I'm mad!

Xeyra - March 4, 2008 10:55 AM (GMT)
I'm so glad to hear Milan's okay. {{{{{{{{{{{zzz}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Marlene - March 4, 2008 11:13 AM (GMT)
The situation is so crazy. I am disgusted with among others The EU. :angry:

meshe - March 4, 2008 11:29 AM (GMT)
I feel for Milan and will keep him in my thoughts. I don't know enough about the political situation to make a comment about it, but I do hope that it is resolved without a needless loss of lives.

Daelith - March 4, 2008 02:37 PM (GMT)
I'm so glad to hear Milan is okay. I remember when I first heard of the violence starting up over there, I instantly thought of him and was hoping he and his family were safe.

I hope the situation gets better as well. My National Guard unit is deploying there again next year and I am doing everything I can to make sure I DO NOT go again! Luckily my service commitment is up soon, but I could get stop/lossed.

I was actually stationed in Kosovo. It was where I discovered bookcrossing!!
I did train for a month in Germany.
