Description: Everyone alright?
Breeze - February 27, 2008 08:49 PM (GMT)
I just saw the end of a news clip about a huge earthquake in the UK!
Did it affect anyone here?

Yeah it woke me up last night about 1am. I woke up to my bed shaking very bizarre.
I live miles away from the epicentre.

It was last night? :o
I just read this
Davie Galloway, seismologist for the BGS, said people had reported feeling the tremor from as far as Bangor in Northern Ireland to the west, Haarlem in Holland to the east, Plymouth to the south and Edinburgh to the north.
That is where I live, but I am always a bear in wintersleep when I sleep.
Hope everyone is okay?

I don't think anyone was seriously injured, a few chimney pots falling down I think!!
Mind you I haven't watched much of the news today but am sure I would have heard of anything serious.
My mum didn't feel it but my brother did he text me to ask if I'd just felt it and I was thinking thank God for that I thought it was me having really weird dreams!
:D

Yes I just watched some videos.
One where some students are playing on the WI and you first hear the sound and then stuff fall down.
We never have earthquakes .
I am laughing how the Brits react. Typical British. I love it. Calm and collect and with humour.

It woke me & dh up and was really freaky. I thought the house was falling down. It was like being in a boat. A lot of people at work hadn't noticed though.

Wild....I've never experienced anything like that!
Glad to hear everyone's okay so far!

Well, the earth moved for me...., or at least, the bed did!
cosmic-gin - February 28, 2008 09:18 PM (GMT)
