Title: My friend had her identity stolen!

CheriePie - February 27, 2008 11:09 AM (GMT)
One of my bestest buds Tina, whom I've been friends with since kindergarten (we grew up together), recently had her identity stolen. Grrrr...

Since much of the activity happened in western MA and CT, especially for those of you living in those areas, can you a look at this picture and see if this woman might look familiar to you at all:

http://massmostwanted.org/index.cfm?ac=cas...CaseID=20080129

(or via Massmostwanted.org, case # 080129)

So far the police don't have any leads! So if she looks familiar to any of you... Hey, I know it's a long shot, but hey, it can't hurt to ask, right? Since the stupidest questions are always those left unasked.

Thanks!

Tina has my sympathy hun. I am right now fighting to clear my credit from a book of stolen checks. Some chick managed to cash almost $1,500 worth of checks, on an account that has been closed over 5 years, with no id to match them.
Don't ask me how the hell she did it, but because they are in my name I am the one having to jump through hoops now to prove it wasn't me that wrote them.
I wish your friend all the luck in the world that they catch the "theiving bitch" (Marlene put it so well) that did it.

That's scary! :o My old supervisor said that when her daughter applied for college they denied her because they said she was dead!! (Weird story, a drug dealer stole the supervisor's daughter's id and SSI #, and the police found the drug dealer dead a few months before and listed her dead with the daughter's name, and not the dealer's real name!)
