Well, at the very worst you'll wind up with two copies. You can read the first one that arrives and immediately trade or release the second one.

One thing I choose to do in a similar situation is designate one to be gifted as a RABCK and have your partner mail directly to the recipient instead of to you.

This is a great idea in my opinion. If there isn't anyone who has it wishlisted, I would just tell them to forget about sending it.

Lexie, can you check the Owed Books Database when you get a chance. There are still quite a few you owe from last year there as far back as July and August. (And yes, you do still owe Cheesy I'm the Vampire, That's Why. I confirmed it with her earlier tonight.)

I'm assuming you've read the threads about the database, but basically if you register using the same name you use here, you'll automatically be able to edit and update the records where you're the sender or receiver. LMK if you have any questions. Thanks! :grin:

ah I had checked it when it first went up but since it only showed a couple that I knew about I forgot all about it. but thank you! I need to double check with KathyB I'm pretty sure I sent Novel Ideas with the last box I sent her...and I'll have to buy Cheesy 'I'm that vampire' my sister's copy (the one I promised cheesy) was apparently traded in and I already promised my copy elsewhere. hmm...I need to print this off at work tomorrow when I go in so I don't forget again!

Yeah, if Novel Ideas was BC-registered, we'd actually have been able to find it on your shelf and mark it received ourselves if it was in fact sent to Kathy already. (Which is why the push to have everyone make sure they're playing with registered books, so the mods can more easily keep things up-to-date for the peeps who don't have the time or inclination to play with the DB themselves.)

I have not gotten any yet, but if they do arrive without a BCID I will let you know
