I need people to discuss it with.

TwiggySC1973 - February 18, 2008 04:49 AM (GMT)
*waves* me me me!!!

Yes I am watching it again. I haven't watched tonight's episode yet, but once again the looney birds have come out on that show!

ramson - February 18, 2008 04:50 AM (GMT)
Hell yeah I am. Can't tear myself away. However, I can't discuss tonight's episode til I watch it tomorrow. I am at work now and saw the 1st 5 mintues or so on my dinner break but that's it so NO SPOILERS just yet please :whip: :whip: :whip:

apolonia - February 18, 2008 04:55 AM (GMT)
Okay I'll wait till tomorrow to discuss.

Although I will say there are more girls I dislike this season than last, and I don't see any of them ending up with Bret.

TwiggySC1973 - February 18, 2008 05:00 AM (GMT)
For some strange reason I see that too, although I don't think I can bear a season 3. I was shocked when he did a season 2 but oh well. Look forward to discussing though!

ramson - February 18, 2008 05:29 AM (GMT)
Here's my opinion. I think he and Heather from last season were a perfect match. I think his ego and need to be in the public eye over ruled any desire he had for a "real" relationship therefore he picked Jez knowing it wouldn't work out and he'd get a second season on VH1.

apolonia - February 18, 2008 10:47 AM (GMT)
I don't know on some level I do agree that him and Heather were a good match. But the way she ignored him when he was sick when they were dun buggy racing and the way she was too interested in partying wasn't good.

I think he goes after girls that are too young. The women should be at least 30. Some of these girls are barely drinking age.

shaunesay - February 18, 2008 04:12 PM (GMT)
Ah the train wreck that Bretly has turned into... I used to love him so *shakes head sadly* Does he ever NOT wear the bandana now? that was never my favorite look on him. I've caught a couple episodes, no where near enough to discuss intelligently though.

xallroyx - February 18, 2008 04:18 PM (GMT)
My boyfriend and I both watch this one! I can't keep away from the drama. I don't like a lot of the girls, but the one I dislike the most is Megan! She won on "Beauty and the Geek" and was a different person there. I'm waiting for someone to bring it up!

I've been trying to figure out where I recognize Megan from. Beauty & the Geek, that's it! :duh:

k_kay - February 18, 2008 05:25 PM (GMT)
I actually kind of like the show but have only watched maybe 2 or 3 episodes(my husband hates it). I was just glad the "French" chick is gone. So is the old broad with the ugly 80's hair still on there?

nursiegirl42 - February 18, 2008 07:43 PM (GMT)
I watch this too!

I really like Peyton but I dont think shes hot enough for him! Daisy is a whiner and Megan OMG who is this person she is not even close to the same person she was on Beauty and the Geek she keeps going on these shows for her modeling career in my opinion!

Catherine is just SCARY LOOKING!

apolonia - February 18, 2008 08:02 PM (GMT)
I liked Peyton initially but now I just think she is just needy and annoying. Megan just irritates me every time she open her mouth and calls Bret her boyfriend.

nursiegirl42 - February 18, 2008 08:38 PM (GMT)
I was really hoping Peyton would have said something at elimination when he said he had 1 letter on his door about whether or not her letter was there and busted Megan..

ramson - February 18, 2008 09:29 PM (GMT)
Ya'll feel free to discuss. I still haven't gotten to see the new episode. I was planning on watching it today before work but my mom is still sick and I had to run errands for her and take care of her instead. Oh well. Its not like it won't be on 500 more times this week.

Now, about the girls... does anyone else thing Daisy looks a bit rodent-y?

Yup, I do.

apolonia - February 18, 2008 10:08 PM (GMT)
Daisy, she is just too fake looking and waaayy too young for him. I mean come on really. He'll just get busy with her for awhile and be done with her.

I loved it when he was making the sleeoy sounds when she was talking on their date. He likes the way she looks, but she's too young to keep his interest. I can't see her being a mom.

apolonia - February 19, 2008 05:50 PM (GMT)
I think of all the VH1 shows this is one of my tops. Although I will admit to watching Scott Baio, Celeb rhab, and The Brady show, only if they are on when I'm surfing though.

nursiegirl42 - February 19, 2008 06:23 PM (GMT)
I watch the Scott Baio one too! Its pretty good but he needs to grow up!

I watch them all. I am a VH1 junkie.

My how the times change. Twenty years ago I thought Brett Michaels was the hottie, now I think its Dr. Drew. Celebrity Rehab is my current favorite. I think Jeff Conaway should be mandatory viewing for any kids thinking about starting drugs!!

What I am really in the mood for is a new season of the Surreal Life and Celebrity Fit club with some actual heavy people on it. Seems the last couple of seasons of Fit Club the people weren't too portly which doesn't inspire me at all.

TwiggySC1973 - February 21, 2008 03:51 PM (GMT)
Well I like Amber. I hate Megan and Catherine needs to cut her hair. She reminds me of someone who was raised in a pentacostal church and still abides by the rules of not wearing pants or cutting your hair. YIKES!

Let's see Daisy is an idiot and I hate her lips (Yucky).

Yeah I guess I have to agree with that, Amber seems decent. She actually seems like she is really there for him.

I finally got to see most of the most recent episode last night/ this morning. What I didn't get to see was what happene with Daisy? Why was she so upset thinking she would be eliminated?

I agree with the others. I really think I like Ambre the best, however, I think she may have too much class for Brett's taste.

Basically, Brett dragged it out and then didn't eliminate anyone. He made some comment about saving the best for last, blah, blah, blah. They are eliminating 2 people next week

apolonia - March 2, 2008 05:11 AM (GMT)
I finally watched this week's episode. I am getting annoyed with him keeping Megan around. She's an idiot and honestly lady your not as hot as you think you are. I like that restaurant Opaque that they went to. I wanna go.

WestofMars - March 4, 2008 06:00 PM (GMT)
Crap! I have fallen behind!

I loooove this show. I love these train wreck girls. They both fascinate and repulse me.

After watching that episode, my boyfriend looked up information about it. It's about $100 a person! He said maybe for a very special occasion we might go. It sounds like a cool experience!

Apolonia - April 2, 2008 06:55 PM (GMT)
I have never seen anything more pathetic than Daisy accecpting her pass this week..

I want to go there too! I looked online to see if there was one near me, but only California, I think.

I couldn't take all the girls crying, honestly what is up with that? Second I don't think any of them are really for him. I think he is probably getting ready for a third season.

TwiggySC1973 - April 4, 2008 04:48 PM (GMT)
to which I will NOT watch.

xallroyx - April 15, 2008 01:35 AM (GMT)
Oh I am soo glad that Ambre won. Daisy was making me gag on the finale!

Apolonia - April 15, 2008 02:42 AM (GMT)
Honestly if Bret had picked Daisy I would have gagged. Honestly date women at least a little close to your age.

nursiegirl42 - April 15, 2008 04:58 PM (GMT)
I cant wait til next week for the reunion show!

It was all over the next that this was very heavily edited .
Heather wrote about his in her blog.
She did get a very bad edit compared to that other horrible girl which I totally did not like. who ended up with him but who ahd a boyfriend all the time.

I do not think the girls of this season were good for him.I do wonder what they see in this guy with a wig and wearing eyeliner.

Read an interview with Brett and it looks Ambre is not going to be his gf for long, if at all.

But boy was I glad that horrible skank did not win.

Marlene - April 22, 2008 04:38 PM (GMT)
I am watching the reunion and guess what. I am crying my bloody eyes out.

nursiegirl42 - April 22, 2008 06:16 PM (GMT)
Why are you crying?

Interesting:

Bret Michaels hasn't found true love on 'Rock of Love' but that's OK
Apr 14, 2008

NEW YORK — Even though Bret Michaels endured two seasons worth of conniving, drunken debauchery, bad weaves and cat fights on his reality show "Rock of Love," he admits that he still may not have found that one special woman.

On this month's season two finale of his hit VH1 show, Michaels chose TV host Ambre out of the pack. While the two may not be head-over-heels in love, Michaels says he has found someone who is "nice and cool." That's a big improvement for the former lead singer of Poison: He and his season one pick, Jess, didn't even date once the show ended.

Michaels spoke with The Associated Press about relationships and lessons learned from reality television as "Rock of Love: The Complete First Season" is released to DVD this month.

AP: Is this just a show for entertainment, or did you really go into this thinking that you were going to find true love?

Michaels: I said this from day one: I went into this to have fun and maybe find someone to like. True love is not going to be found instantly on a TV show. That is only for scripted shows. Scripted reality, they give someone a show. It is the reason "Rock of Love" has been the No. 1 show. It has been kept as real as possible. Anyone thinking they are going into a TV show finding love, they might find someone that they like and eventually learn to like them more. I think finding true love, I never went in with that intent.

AP: Did you find true love this time?

Michaels: I found someone who is really nice and cool and gets rock 'n' roll. We can see when it goes from here.

AP: Do you feel that doing a reality show hurts your credibility as a rocker?

Michaels: I am a rock star/musician who has had, with a lot hard work, a continuous and long career with or without reality TV. When I went in and they came after me when I was going to do "Rock of Love," they gave me this novelty concept. They were trying to go back to '86. I lived '86. I loved '86, but I live in 2006/2007. I love my spandex and cowboy boots from '87. I thought it was fantastic. (But) I didn't want my show to be a novelty. I have generations of fans. I think the show has been a plus for this reason: it has exposed my solo act. It has exposed that this is really me.

AP: What are the most important lessons you learned from being in a house with a bunch of women?

Michaels: One good lesson that I have learned is patience. Even if you are not listening, act like you are listening. Even if you are in the background watching ESPN, listen or pretend to be listening. If you are going to use the same nice charm and jokes, try not to take three women on a date at the same time so that each of them does not know you're using it.

AP: Isn't it every man's dream to date three women at once?

Michaels: The date is the dream because it looks good for your image. However, saying lines while the other ones can hear it and then turning to another and saying the same line is not a smart move.

AP: Did you get overwhelmed dating three women at once?

Michaels: No, I was thinking it was actually awesome. It is a lot like the tour bus. It is like backstage. I had years to prepare me for the show.

AP: On the first season, you picked Jess. The relationship did not work out. What went wrong?

Michaels: No one explains to you in the world of reality TV that when you are done, you spend five or six months apart. This is told to you at the end of the show. You get done - there are months where you can't be travelling and doing stuff (together) because they don't want anyone to take a picture of you. If I get out at LAX, they have the TMZ people there. If someone gets a picture of you on vacation together with a cell phone, it's over.

AP: Did you have a conversation with Jess about breaking up?

Michaels: When she came back from the show, she was cold as ice and angry. I put her on the spot. I said, "Listen, if it is for show, why would I be inviting you to dinner?" At the reunion, they never showed this, but I said, "How long have you been with your boyfriend?" Her boyfriend and her sell shirts in Chicago. Maybe you should ask her who is for show. I thought she was a pretty girl and intelligent and funny. All the other girls told me she has a boyfriend who sells shirts in Chicago and that was the shirt she was wearing the whole show.

AP: How difficult is it to find out the truth about these women?

Michaels: Therein is the challenge - getting to the bottom of what the truth is. You know if anyone goes on a date it is the face of a stranger. The true colours (eventually) come out. I am what I am. I tell them, "I play flag football with my friends on the weekends. I like to race motorbikes. I have muscle cars." I am not saying change is bad. You can look and see what I have been doing for the last 20 years.

AP: Will there be a "Rock of Love 3"?

Michaels: I don't know . . . We are looking to do a show called "Bret Michaels Big Rock Road Show" which is just rockers gone wild on the road. I never say never. Right now I am not mentally there. I am having fun doing it and I am thankful to the fans that made the show number one. The girls made the show great.

AP: What are you hiding under that bandanna?

Michaels: My hair is combined of my hair and the finest extensions Europe has to offer. I do the show without it on all the time and they won't film me. They are like, "Put your bandanna back on. It is your image." It is my signature thing.
