The Fourth Bear by Jasper Fforde

The Gingerbreadman: Psychopath, sadist, genius, convicted murderer and biscuit is loose in the streets of Reading. It isn't Jack Spratt's case. He and Mary Mary have been reassigned due to falling levels of nursery crime, and The NCD is once more in jeopardy. I picked up The Fourth Bear with my recent BookCloseouts order since I'd recently read The Big Over Easy and really liked it. I haven't read any of the Thursday Next series yet, though the first 4 or 5 are also waiting here on Mt. TBR. :blush:

actually, it won't get better until I find a new job, as I've been informed this one is ending possibly sometime in 4th quarter. so, yeah. Laid off again in less than a year and half, not a happy camper. :(

The reason? Our company did TOO WELL and got sold because of it, new company has decide to consolidate some accounting stuff, and I'm one of those things. typical business story. One reason not to let your job define you though, because you can give it your all, and it doesn't make a bit of difference in the end.

Sorry, still a little down, it's actually a nice little settlement I'm getting, so I'll probably be fine, but the feelings are seriously hurt, don't like feeling thrown away. :cry:
