chambejd - February 20, 2008 03:27 AM (GMT)
I've read your Chapter 1 book but am going to try to read Fingersmith (which I owe you from a relay) by the end of March so I can send them at the same time. It will certainly be mid-month at least before mine arrives.

Sounds good! No rush! I'm in no danger of running out of reading material.....ever.
SimplyCee - February 24, 2008 05:09 AM (GMT)
Yay! You got the package! All the packages I sent that day arrived pretty quickly for media mail. They went out on Tuesday and people were journaling them on Friday.
ramson - March 2, 2008 08:13 PM (GMT)
YOL... show us what you got!!! :flasher:
nursiegirl42 - March 2, 2008 10:36 PM (GMT)
I will get yours out one day this week with all the winter mess lately I havent been too many places lately!
yourotherleft - March 3, 2008 01:37 AM (GMT)
Phew! I went out of town this weekend, so I wasn't even around the yummy packages when my big day finally came. But at long last, here I am with what I've got of my March haul! :)
All wish list books so far, which is always exciting! :bananadance:
From SimplyCee...
Gods in Alabama! A book people always seem to be raving about!

From ramson...

If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things! Which happens to be blurbed by Maggie O'Farrell on the front, and she happens to have written one my favorite reads of late, so I'm that much more excited. BTW, ramson, am I correct in assuming this is unregistered? I didn't see a BCID, but wanted to make sure! :)
Next up is wss4 with Coal Run! A book that I had to put back in a heart-breaking "I'm out of money at the book sale" moment :( but now I've got a copy! :)

Dancing-dog sent me a copy of Obasan! Since I read When the Emperor Was Divine I've been interested in reading about the Japanese during World War II, so I'm definitely excited about this one!

And last (well, actually her package was first!) but not least is lovemylife with not one but *two* wish list books! Books that have been on my wish list for quite some time, no less.
The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse

and
Baker Towers

And that's all for now! Thanks so much ladies! It's always so much fun to see the books rolling in and even more fun to read them! =D
ramson - March 3, 2008 02:21 AM (GMT)
You are correct. The book I sent is an unregistered copy. Enjoy!
peachy93722 - March 3, 2008 03:28 AM (GMT)
My book IS finally on it's way to you as of yesterday.
azuki - March 3, 2008 05:03 AM (GMT)
I finished reading your book last week and it's all packed up to go out tomorrow!
SimplyCee - March 3, 2008 01:40 PM (GMT)
nursiegirl42 - March 3, 2008 08:26 PM (GMT)
I mailed mine today and it has Chapter 1 marked on it!
FranciJo - March 6, 2008 02:45 AM (GMT)
Your book is ready to go out tomorrow! I just have to find five minutes to get to the post office!
yourotherleft - March 8, 2008 12:06 AM (GMT)
I got two more packages in the mail today containing three more wish list books! :D
From Nursie:

The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen, an author I've wanted to read for a while now!
And from Azuki:

Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn - I can't count how many times I've seen this in swaps and wanted it!
and

The China Garden - another fascinating sounding book from my wish list!
Thanks, ladies!
peachy93722 - March 11, 2008 01:24 AM (GMT)

yourotherleft - March 14, 2008 03:20 AM (GMT)

Thanks!! :D
chambejd - March 20, 2008 07:37 PM (GMT)

The Ice Queen by Alice Hoffman which was received a couple of days ago.
yourotherleft - March 29, 2008 01:53 AM (GMT)

nursiegirl42 - April 4, 2008 07:42 PM (GMT)
So we're still waiting on Bibliocrates book this month... I will PM her!
nursiegirl42 - April 13, 2008 04:39 AM (GMT)
Bibliocrates told me should would get your book out.. so let me know when you get it!
nursiegirl42 - April 23, 2008 07:04 PM (GMT)
Still no book from bibliocrates yet?
nursiegirl42 - May 13, 2008 03:31 AM (GMT)
OK its been a month since she initially told me she would be getting out your book.. YOL have you received anything yet?
Bibliocrates - May 16, 2008 09:50 PM (GMT)
I know I mailed your book late yourotherleft, and I sincerely apologize... but I'm beginning to worry now since you still haven't received it. My Chapter 2 book to peachy93722 arrived safely and I believe I mailed them on the same day.
yourotherleft - May 16, 2008 10:16 PM (GMT)
 I don't recall getting any more Chapter 1 books than I have listed here. I suppose it's possible that I could have received it and forgotten to journal it before putting it on my bookshelves, but that would be pretty unlike me (though it has happened once or twice before!). I hope the postal system didn't eat it!

If it doesn't arrive in another week I will send you a replacement... I checked around my desk, as things tend to get buried, and it's not here... plus, I remember mailing it together with the Chapter 2 book. I really hope it arrives... it was on your wish list!
yourotherleft - May 19, 2008 07:45 PM (GMT)
Good news, Bibliocrates! It came with today's mail. After fighting with the packaging for about 15 minutes (er, wow, you're a good packager...or I'm an inept opener), I see another wishlist book - Before You Know Kindness. Thank you! :)
nursiegirl42 - May 20, 2008 03:26 PM (GMT)
So this month is DONE! Thanks everyone!

:phew:
I wrap that way because I know how damaging sending a book via post can be... I can't tell you how many books have arrived opened and wet... a trick: stick a knife in the edge crease, breaking through the tape, and cut along the edge, that way you can slide the book out!
Enjoy!
