Kel, I was looking at how you've got the initial board set up, and was wondering if you could include some kind of delimiter between fields. Without it, it's damn near impossible for Shaunie to pull the data into Excel (I tried it with her last night). Thanks! :grin:

Yeah you know, like a colon, a semicolon, etc. A delimiter "limits" text, so that it can be imported.

It doesn't even have to be the same delimiter... for instance, most of us simply use a colon after the username, and either a semicolon or :: (that ones mine) after the book held/# of steals.

By having those punctuation marks, when pulling it into Excel, you tell it to split the data into columns based on those characters. In their absense, it's impossible for Excel to know where one column ends and the next begins and then she has to do it all manually. :bash:

Well I just didn't want to dictate which punctuation you actually use because I want to allow for creative style and all.

But if I might give an example, here's an edited version of the first line with delimiters added

There's a colon after the username, but I thought you might prefer to make the semicolon into something else. That's just the standard one that everyone uses, but you could use anything else like a · or a ♥ or something like that....
