Title: Travel deals to London?

EllyMae58 - February 4, 2008 03:38 PM (GMT)
Now, this is very much in the EARLY planning stages, it may not even happen, but there is a POSSIBILITY my BF and I MAY go to London toward the end of October. I'm going to go ahead and work on getting a passport, just in case, but I won't really know money-wise if we can swing it until I get my tax refund and my bonus in March.

Anyway, if anyone knows of any great places to get flight and/or hotel deals, please let me know! The more money I can save, the better. And if anyone cares, the reason for this trip is a football game: the Chargers and the Saints will be playing at Wembley Stadium on October 26, and we figured it was a good a time as any for a visit.

I guess that means your not going to convention then.

No, I never had any intention of going to convention this year.

I am so jealous. That game will be awesome and Wembley Stadium works for American Football. Back when they had the World League of American Football, I went to a game there. It was a nice break from the soccer games.

:bump:

I talked to my BF about this, and he REALLY wants to try and go. Luckily, I have a tax refund and my bonus coming, so if we can get some good deals for traveling, we will probably be able to do it. I am so excited! :bananadance: I've never been of the US before! (And NO, crossing the border into TJ doesn't count.)

This is now more than a possibility!! It's not a definite until I actually book tickets, but it's a pretty sure thing I'm going to London in the fall!!! :bananadance: Woohoo!!!! We've already started a separate savings account to dump money into just for this trip.

AND

I found out we can take the train and in less than three hours be in PARIS!!!! And in Paris (or near Paris) is DISNEYLAND!! And the train goes direct from a station in London to a station at Disneyland!! So guess what else I'll be doing???

So still looking for any deals on hotels, flights, etc!! Any tips on traveling, tours, that kind of thing. One day is already reserved for Liverpool! Love the Beatles!!!
