Box Guidelines:

• NEW RULE: If you owe books from more than 6 rounds ago, you should refrain from taking any new books out of the box until you've first caught up those past due obligations. (Books owed from less than 6 rounds ago, with m-bag organizers, or for which other arrangements have been made don't count towards this limit.)
• Turn time is 2 full days, or 48 hours, from the time the update announcing the player's turn is posted. If you are going to be away or otherwise inaccessible when your turn comes up, please let me know so that I can put a note by your name and your absence will not be treated as a "no-show" (see below).
• If the full 48 hours has passed with no word from the player, then the next player will take their turn. Do this for the next 3 players following the missing player, and if they still haven't checked in by then, they'll be bumped to the bottom of the list. This will become their new permanent spot until the list is reshuffled.
• At the start of each round, an * is placed in front of each title still in the box to track how long it's been in. If a book you've put in isn't taken after 2 complete rounds (**), you must replace it with a different one on your next turn.
• The Box Organizer will be the official time keeper and determine a skip or bottom placement.
• New players will be accepted during play and added to the bottom of the list.

On Your Turn:

1. Select the books that you want to take out of the box and list them in your post.
2. Replace with the same number of books (or more) and link to the BookCrossing journal pages for each book(s).
3. If any of your books have "**" in front of them, they must be replaced now as well.
4. If you want to skip your turn, you have the option to be placed at the bottom of the list for another try this round. If you do this, it will become your new permanent spot until the next list reshuffle. (Reshuffling happens every 3 rounds.)
5. If you are willing and able to do the update, please do so. Before posting, verify that you've (1) listed your move in the Moves section, (2) added to the list of books the ones you're putting in, (3) removed from the list of books the ones you're taking out or replacing, and (4) listed the books you're taking out in the Books Out of Play section at the bottom, indicating they are going to you. I am here. I'm hoping I will get my turn before the 21st. On the 21st I will be traveling to the states and it will be 2-3 days before I can to the internet. Then I will be good for about 2 weeks, then traveling again back to sunny Bahrain

Well it must be because I just finished posting the Feb round of the teen VBB and rerandomized and guess what number you are there? :lol:

IMO (and that of many other witches) thirteen is actually a very lucky number... the number of full moons in a year for one. :grin: It's also the number of my house, and I've had nothing but goodness from the number. The crescent moon on my shoulder represents 13: 1 moon and 3 stars.

Thanks for reminding us of that Karen. :) I know we talked about it before and as I said in my PM to you then, but would like to say it here publicly now too, it was never really a requirement of most of the book boxes that the user send a PM to the next person in line. It was always just more of a courtesy. But something that, particularly if it appeared that the person was always checking in and/or had checked in for the month (has an * next to their name), was not always done.

So beginning with this month, I've decided to add it as a rule and you'll see it added to the bottom of the "On Your Turn" section above. Of course no one will be severely beaten for forgetting to do so. :whip: :whip: — unless you want it ahem ms. cheesy :wink:

Oh and I also put a note next to your name for this month anyway, just in case. But hopefully by next month, it'll work it's way in and become automatic for everyone. Of course, I always use people's full username as it appears on this site, no nicknames, in the list, so it shouldn't be any trouble to PM them. :)

I miss being here (giving a draft of my first chapter to my dissertation advisor on Friday *gulp* so at least I am being productive with the time I'm not spending here!), but it's good to know that I won't have to stress out about making people wait or missing my turn.

FYI, I did PM nikel27 after I posted this. But even though she hasn't checked in yet, the clock doesn't officially start ticking until the 1st of the month anyway. :waiting:

Just a quick note to let everyone know that my address will be changing after March 1st...hopefully!! :D Hubby & I purchased a new home very close to our auto repair shop back in November. Thank goodness - no more 45 minute drive to and from work every day!! The former owners of the house were supposed to be out by January 31st but then asked for an extension to 2/15, and now to the end of February. Hubby & I have agreed to no more extensions, so hopefully, we'll be moving in sometime after March 1st. I will pm my new address to anyone that I request a book from.
