ATTN: Coordinators of Monthly Exchange Groups (BookObsessed)

Hi all! It's been suggested that some explanation of the monthly exchange groups be pinned and I think it's a good idea. I can put together general how-to's of the way the exchanges work, but thought it might be good to include a list of the existing exchanges with the name of each, the coordinator's name, and if it's international, US or European - could put in the lists of members too if you want them there. Anyway, if each of you could either post here or pm me with at least the basic info, I'll get a post started and pinned! :)

Existing Monthly Exchanges

Indecisives - international group hosted by cheesygiraffe
Chapter 12 - U.S. only group hosted by nursiegirl42
Southern Cross - Australia/New Zealand group hosted by luckaye
EuroXchange - European group hosted by GizAngel
Ballyswappers - international group hosted by PepperVL/zzz
Reading Divas - U.S. only group hosted by ramson
RMTBRBB (Rocky Mountain To Be Read Book Babes) - U.S. only group hosted by nvangel2073

Indecisives is hosted by me and is international.

Southern Cross - Aus/NZ and hosted by the fabulous luckaye.

I run The Reading Divas and it is US only.

Nursie runs Chapter 12 and that is also US only.

This thread is about the monthly exchange groups - here's a brief description:

These are all monthly exchange groups - each group has 12 members - each member is assigned one month of the year - all members send a book to each of the other members during that particular member's month - so whoever has January will receive books from the 11 other members during the month of January, etc. Some of the groups are international, some are European only, some are U.S. only. At the end of each group's year (which may not corrrespond with the calendar year) - they decide if they want to stay together and play another year and also if they need to replace any players. That was the part that I wanted to know!!! I know what an exchange is but I have no idea what any of the name mean. I thought Indecisives was something special...like books you weren't sure about but realised they were so good you have to pass them on.

And at this point I have to say I'm terribly jealous of those. I wish I could take part on a monthly exchange...

Euroxchange is Europe only and organised by Gizzy.
Ballyswappers is International and organised by ZZZ

Technically Ballyswappers is my group, though zzz is our duplicates checker so he sends out the monthly reminders. I'm the one who does the organizing, assigning, and tracking down of missing people.

So maybe the best way would be to say we share it? :shrug:

Yeah, they are the different months of the Chapter 12 group.

RMTBRBB is a US only group
