1. You get 12 hours to take your turn. If you miss your turn you'll be bumped to the bottom.
2. You must send your reveal to at least 1 other person
3. You can't have any books owing past 6 months ago that have not been mailed out yet! (that would be before August).

2 questions (as I'm not a native speaker... sorry for that... but I'm a native speaker of something else at least! ;-)): Does 'You can't have any books owing past 6 months ago' mean that I need to deliver them before August? Or can't I play with books that I have longer than six months (which would be a slightly strange rule, but still... ;-))? And does Non-Genre swap mean that I can play any genre or that the book shouldn't really fit with a certain genre?

The 6 month rule means, for example, if you owe someone on this site a book from a VBB from before August, then you can't play.

Non-genre is something you can't define under any other category. So not mystery, not romance, not historical fiction, etc.
Jodi Picoult is a good example of an author that writes non-genre.

For me, both books and music are divided into I like it and I don't like it, and unless it's fairly obvious, I find it hard to categorize them. :unsure:

ETA: I have my own personal little helper (luckaye) so please count me in for this swap. (And if you don't like the book, blame her! :giggle: )

I have been trying my hardest to not sign up for this but I might as well go for broke (NF swap, best of Swap and now Non-Genre Swap)

Isn't it hard to find a book that is a non genre book.
Picoult is one I understand but what else?

Most of my books are non-genre!!

Khaled Hosseini, Middlesex, Douglas Coupland, Jose Saramago, Philip Roth - those are a couple more examples of authors/titles that would be non-genre

Oke. so I think I should look at the books on my shelf that are placed in the literature/Fiction category.
(If I would play that is and I am already tired of swapping in just the one swap :rolleyes: )
