the "BlueBook" attempts to bridge the gap between those familiar with new technology and others stuck in the stone ages of paper and print.

There wasn't paper and print in the stone ages. :P And excuse me I like books in printed format.

You know, I just figured out why I hate the Kindle so much. It sounds like "kindling," which makes me think of burning books.

I kept wondering what the significance of the name Kindle was supposed to be...and that's the only association I could come up with too. :P Either that or in the sense of "kindling interest" - but surely that's not the best they could do???

I don't know where the name came from, but I do have one on order. I'm afraid that it won't arrive in time for my trip to England, though. I thought that having the one device with multiple books in it would reduce the weight of my luggage.

That's a very good idea. I hope it arrives on time for you...

I was also thinking that the Kindle would be a good idea for students. Instead of having umpteen books to drag around, you'd have them all in one place and easily accessible. Of course, if you lost it, you'd be screwed... :P but I guess we can't have everything.
